Well balanced pair of secateurs.
Very sharp, lightweight secateurs.Recently used continuously for 3 hours, trimming back 3 large Hornbeam trees in my garden. Successfully cut through branches up to 2cms in diameter. The only quibble I have is that the sharpener/oil pad contraption, located in the lower handle, kept falling out and is now lost.

Ratchet clippers
Good finger guard and ratchet action is helpful if you have weak handsRatchet action can be rather tiresome if you don't need it and jaws open no more than standard prunersFor softer, green, wood I found my Swiss secateurs cut just as wellBut it is nicely made piece of equipment and quite usable and price is competitive and you wouldn't need a second pair

Do not be taken in by fancy German sounding name
Not sure about the quality but feels lightweight. Only used for two weeks and it is doubtful if it will last a month. Wish I had taken more notice of other users experiences.

Big hands required!
It's nice now and then to see products for people with larger hands, but this one definitely is one of those. Let me explain. When it's fully open it needs a pretty big hand span, I have fairly normal sized hands and use L sized gloves, so I guess on the larger size, and I just about manage with them but was still surprised how large the grip is when fully opened. So if you have M or smaller hands - I would say this is not for you. That aside, they are surprisingly powerful secateurs which I've tested on woody branches as well as soft ones and they cut through the lot fairly easily, even up to 1cm ish. There's a sharpener in the handle which pulls out which is nice, although I've not tried it yet - honestly I'm not entirely sure how to, I guess you just drag it across the blade. I'll deal with that when I need to, the sad truth is that I tend to lose secateurs or they rust well before needing sharpening! There is a locking mechanism inside the handle which is pretty basic although you have to work out how it works, you pull up a red bit to lock it.Overall I have had no issues but you need to have big enough hands for these. They are pretty easy to use and definitely less effort than regular ones, due to working a bit like bypass loppers with the gearing.
