Excellent!
I got this heart rate monitor a week ago or so after suffering a heart attack. I ordered it using my laptop when I was still in the ICU! I wanted to know the work on my heart during my recovery. It arrived really quickly, and I've been wearing it mainly when going out of the house. It's really amazing! I have it on constant display so that I can look down to see my heart rate, and the battery seems to last about 6 or 7 hours, much longer than I expected. There's also a little battery monitor letting you know how much charge is left, so it's not going to surprise you when it runs out. I am surprised by how quickly it charges using the micro-USB connection...it seems to fully charge in a couple of hours after being near empty (although the first charge did take about 15 hours or so before it reported being fully charged).Wearing it for a few hours at a time, I am surprised by the comfort of the arm band. It doesn't have to be tight to get an accurate reading. I have checked its accuracy to a couple of other heart rate monitors, and it is spot on. I like the friendly greeting when it turns on, and I like the status updates when it is charging. It's very light so that I hardly notice that I'm wearing it. It's not too big or bulky...almost like a watch. The display is very bright, and so it's really easy to read. Thanks for creating such a great product!!!

Skip this & get a fantastic MIO Alpha instead
The second time I used this heart rate monitor it broke. No display after that. Charging didn't help. Since it had been several months after buying it before I tried it, I didn't do anything about it. I was going contact the manufacturer and tell them how cheap their product is, but never made it a high enough priority to do, so I don't know how their customer service would have reacted. Please ignore this product and purchase a FANTASTIC product the MIO Alpha instead. This product is bad in several ways. The ePulse2 must be wrapped pretty tight to get a consistant reading. I was running on a treadmill, so I could adjust to a position that didn't feel like it was cutting off circulation to my hand (I could rest it on the rail), but if you run streets, I expect you would have trouble. The sensor seemed to have trouble maintaining adequate contact to give me a reliable reading. It jumps between realistic and unrealistic heart rate readings. The tiny sensor on the pad in the back is not very effective. Obviously, the electronics are not high quality because it died so fast. This makes all other features moot. I did nothing to cause the failure (drop, shock, water, etc.) Even the rubber cover that covers the charging plug doesn't work (not a serious problem, just another quality issue).

ok for a time, then screen went dim
This was my second ePulse2; the first lasted well over a year and worked fairly well, but the LED screen slowly lost brightness until I could no longer view it. This new one barely lasted a few months. Right off the bat, the battery with this was messed up; it wouldn't charge all they way. It would still say "charging" after 8 hours, which the previous monitor I had properly shut off on its own after completing the charge. Then I found that it would randomly go from a half charge to nothing in the middle of a workout. Something bad about the battery. Then a month later the LED monitor started to go dim, and some pixels were getting dimmer faster. the unit has a daylight setting to increase the display brightness, but even on full brightness it was hard to read indoors. When it worked, it worked well, kept up with monitoring my heart rate, was comfortable to wear on my forearm, and served its purpose. Unfortunately I tried to contact their customer service about the battery, but heard nothing back. I'm thinking they are no longer in business.

caution: battery
I loved this for the whole 69 mins that the battery worked. I had read other reviews on the battery life but wanted to give it a try. For $89.00 I really expected something trouble free. It did work great, I loved being able to watch the target zone, and would try again if the battery problem could get fixed, otherwise, for this much money, I will try something else!

Ok, but did not meet my expectations....
I got this over a week ago and at first it would not charge. It took a week to get it to get up to 4 hours of run time. After the first 5+ hours of charging it lasted about 45 mins and after each charge it has lasted a little longer. After a week of charging all night it is up to 4 maybe 5 hours.I wear it while exercising and riding my bike and it works well. I am wearing it on my wrist like a watch, starting it on the underside of the wrist and then flipping it over to the back of my wrist and it picks up fairly well. If it does drop the pulse it I just flip it back under my wrist and it picks right up again.I really enjoy the No Chest Strap. Being able to look at the daily log. The large display. The large easy to use buttons.Do not like the low battery time.I would recommend it and say if, like when I got it it would not charge, just be patient and read the instructions and keep running it and charging it. After it shuts off I turn it back on for a short while and then charge it.

No chest strap - Great for running & cycling!
If you're like me and a chest strap makes you feel like you're going to suffocate, or you feel that its always falling down your waist, this is the heart rate monitor to get. Its comfortable, accurate and effective. The LED is bright and large enough to spot on a run.I don't need a monitor to synch with my GPS watch. I need a monitor to tell me what effort level I'm really at when I do run. This does it, and it does it effectively. I also discovered my resting heart rate jumps around a lot, but my working heart rate is pretty steady at the same exercise level. So, having used it on a dozen or more runs to effectively adjust to the effort level I was looking for, I couldn't be happier.
