J Green were one of the great British paper manufacturers of the 20th century and were part of the legendary WR Balston/J Whatman group who were responsible for making perhaps the finest watercolour papers. This particular 100% cotton paper was mould-made sometime between 1969 and 1973 in the Springfield Mill in Maidstone, Kent, UK and is in perfect condition. The surface of these sheets are very lightly textured and well sized. Having soaked a sheet we can tell you that it retains its structure perfectly. Each sheet has a pleasing lightly deckled edge as they have been hand-cut from larger sheets. Sold in packs of 10 sheets of approximately A4 size these represent great value for money for the professional and keen amateur alike.
