Great but hard to make adjustments.
I love this helmet! Very comfortable and excellent quality. I just wish it was easier to adjust. If you loan it to someone, it’s a huge production to make it more loose or tighter. I wish it had the knob at the back to make adjustments.

Excellent helmet
This is my first kayaking helmet. Love it. The visor is really nice on sunny days. The fit is good, and the design is impressive how it keeps the helmet in the proper position to do its job. If you have to adjust the plastic bracket on the back, it will be difficult, but it can be done. They tell you in the directions that you’ll have to use some force, and they aren’t kidding. But it really made a difference for the helmet doing its job for me. Highly recommend this helmet. It’s comfortable, and I love the ear pads on colder days.

Comfortable fit
Seems like a well-made helmet, and it's comfortable. I've had it 4 months, and worn it 3-4 times for a couple hours each time. I like the bill that keeps the sun out of my eyes. I was concerned about getting the correct fit, but after reading the reviews and manufacturer's instructions, I ordered the size that seemed appropriate, and by gosh the helmet fit. Fortunately I haven't tested how well the helmet protects my head from a hard blow. (this helmet replaced a many years old fiberglass helmet, with a velcro'd on hat bill, that had lots of cracks).

Excellent helmet! Note that ear covers are NOT removable.
This is the classic WRSI Current Pro and is a great helmet. One of the best for the price. Unfortunately the ear protection is not removable which makes conversations on the river problematic. I returned it and picked up one with removable ear protection. It's more comfortable and I get to speak below a yell.

I hit my head pretty good while wearing this helmet
Was going down river and it was really low that day. I flipped at bottom of a rapid because the back end of rpm went too far under. Set up for my roll, and bam, back of head into a boulder. I had slight headache from it but could have been way worse! Helmet took the brunt of it!

Lacks features of a modern helmet
Runs large and the fit system (or lack thereof) won't help. Lacks an adjustable rear retention system, which is par for the course on any helmet made in the last 10 years. The straps can't be adjusted other than tightening the chin strap. The fitting instructions basically say to pull hard on the chin straps as though that will tighten the whole thing. I'm not sure how they thought this would work to adjust anything. I needed a helmet for a trip otherwise I would have returned it. If it fits your head right out of the box, then maybe it'll work for you. There's ample padding and it held up to some pretty good rock strikes while I was upside down.

Not really impressed
The shell is comfortable but the fit in use is not really impressive. Made multiple adjustments to the o brace but it’s tension is controlled by the front straps so in order to bring it in you have to make the front straps tight but then it pulls down on your eyes and chokes you. If left loose then the helmet can rock back, overall not impressed, it’s better the the NRS chaos I had but neither are anywhere near other industries protective gear like bike or snowboarding helmets. Also the liner inside is hard so I wasn’t too sure how that’s supposed to protect and now seeing the Virginia tech test it’s clear it really doesn’t. Only used it twice but think I’ll be looking elsewhere.
