OptiPro FFP2 Particulate Respirator (x10) – CE & EN Certified Individually Wrapped Face Masks - Non-Woven 5-Layer System with High Filtration Capacity Masks - Filters Airborne Particles (Pack of 10)

This is NOT a Laboratory test, so take it just as an opinion. The masks come individually packaged in a plastic resealable sleeve, with the metal nose strip folded in half. When you open-up the mask to fit it - the tight crease of the fold remains - thus presenting a 'weak-point' for the passage of air. Even after efforts to re-form the radius of this crease, I could not achieve a good nose seal. At 'normal' exhale - I could see condensation on my glasses, and I assume that air will pass in both directions at this point. I can achieve a seal by tightly pinching around the nose (evident by the respiratory 'effort' of breathing THROUGH the mask noticeably increasing) - but this is hardly practicable. I accept that face size and shape is are variables which are likely to impact upon effectiveness - but FOR ME, it does not achieve the standard I would expect from an FFP2 mask. Are not N95, quality not great.

These are very poorly made - do not buy. Out of the 4 I have worn so far, 3 have broken at the strap. I didn't put any pressure other than to put it over my face then they just broke. (I also have a small face for a man). It has been a waste of my money so far. Poor manufacturing at a very high price.

Standard N95 masks, produced by the chinese company Hunan Sanrui Biotechnology Co Ltd, personalised with the Optimum Medical logo and packaging and sold with an highly increased price. Quality looks fine, I'm not an expert though, too expensive in my opinion.

The downside is that they do have a strong smell, which takes a while to go. It's best to take the masks out of the packets for at least a few days before use, best if you can hang them up somewhere clean. I will buy these again if available. You can use them again if only worn for short periods ie very light use but they are not washable so hang them up for at least 72 hours after use. It is very difficult to find genuine FFP2 masks online and especially from Amazon so DO YOUR HOMEWORK and always check the manufacturer's credentials! If it's cheap, it's imitation. Please remember, if you wear a mask, to wear it properly or there really is no point.

I am afraid these masks were not suitable for purpose! The dust came right through! I ended up using a disposable mask inside it for protection!Other brands of the same speck of masks have never let me down so I am bitterly disappointed!

This is a proper mask that covers your face tightly. I do struggle to breathe when wearing it inside buildings where there is no air flow like outside but this gives me assurance that these few layers of filters protect me and that’s what matters now.

Make sure to buy these masks from amazon.co.uk (UK supplier) and not from amazon.fr (chinese supplier). The masks i bought from amazon.co.uk are of good quality, packed indivudually. Unfortunately they are too small for my face. Unless optimum medical offers in the future XL sized masks, i would go for 3M Aura masks if I could still find them which is quite impossible...
