Decent bar set but missing a muddler .

My husband and I just moved back to the states from South America and have been working on setting up our new house in South Carolina. I am getting a little tired of all the shopping! So I was very happy to have found this nifty set for our bar. It has everything we need, is well made, attractive, and easy to clean. Couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.K. This is cute! We bought it for fun for our home bar. I only wish it came with a little more instruction on each item. Maybe what they were for or how to use them. Most are self-explanatory, and obviously they can all be googled. But the "fast open" bottle opener I can't figure out. I don't know what makes it faster than any other opener or why it is more efficient. But overall, I'm happy with it and think it is a great beginner set for households to have. The only additional pieces we had to buy were a muddler and a bar knife, which are bigger items to it makes sense they wouldn't come in this kit.

This is a great set with solid materials - I have been using them for a year and have not had any rust or any other issue though having said that I do clean them after every use and make sure they are dry prior to storage. The shakers have a minimalist olde tyme quality to them that I as looking for. I have already purchased one for myself and one as a gift.

I recently completed a bartending course and wanted to get the tools for my home use. While this set will get the job done, it is not great quality. The large shaker is alright, but the cheater's shaker (smaller cup) is smaller in volume than a standard one so you can't make multiple tall drinks (I.e. 2 long islands) at the same time. It's smaller size also means it sits deeper in the larger shaker so I find it harder to hold onto with 1 hand and harder to separate the 2 cups after shaking. The jigger is fine though you might also want a jigger with a 1oz side which you'll have to buy separately. The speed bottle opener, Hawthorne strainer and pourers work just fine so no complaints there. The mixing spoon works fine but is clearly poorly made as the red end has an extraneous bit of a plastic nubbin hanging off of it and wobbles on the tip of the spoon as if it will soon fall off. The wine key will also get the job done, but is garbage and you'll never look like a pro with that in hand. I have a much higher quality, better designed, and more attractive one that I got from Ikea for pennies and one I got for free from the corner bar - both better quality than what you're paying for here. All in all I would either create your own set so you don't get the handful of garbage items not worth a dime, or spend a little more on a better quality kit. I'll need to purchase an additional cheater's shaker and jigger to correct/complete this set and I've thrown away the wine key.

It's a good set for a good price, but the main reason I bought it was the set said it comes with a 1/4 and 3/4 jigger. I was having trouble finding a 1/4 oz jigger anywhere, and this set has some other things I wanted. But the jigger is 3/4 oz and 1.5 oz jigger. The shakers also say they're 30 oz and 16 oz in the listing, but they're 28 oz and 15 oz. That's not a big deal, but 3 items in the set aren't what's on the listing. It's still a good deal, but I wish the listing were accurate.

I'm a newbie at learning to make cocktails and I am very satisfied with this set. The mixer was easy to use and as long as you secure it properly it won't leak. I did it over a sink just to be safe but it turned out to be unessesary. I made a hurricane cocktail with this and used the mixer and strainer and it worked out great.

I ordered this last minute for a bartending gig. It has all the basics and is great for a starer kit. The wine opener is good quality. I do recommend buying your own bottle opener though. It's a generic one which does causes a lot of hang ups when opening bottles. I don't particularly like that it's a 30 and 15 oz shakers . I prefer 28 and 16. The 15 oz goes farther into the shaker than I'd prefer but it is still manageable.
