We purchased this blanket for use in our rv in winter. We are camping in campgrounds with power so I can’t review how much power it uses for solar campers but I can tell you that this blanket made a huge difference! We saved on propane ( heat) since having the blanket. Then we started bringing it back and forth to the house because it takes that chill out of you. My fiancé and I both agreed, this purchase was a game changer! We both have our own control and since he usually get warmer than I do, it’s perfect that we can have that control. Also the cord is detachable so it does make it nice for stoarage. The only thing I wish was different is how the controls and power cord are connected as they easily get tangled up, but not a show stopper. It’s also kind of heavy but it’s super big and soft. I have had this blanket for several months and no issues so far. Would buy again!

Paralyzed... that's what I was after reading more reviews than ever. I put it off and tried again. Still paralyzed as I watched the prices drop after Christmas and more good/bad reviews -what's true and what is not. I did notice the price difference mentioned when it came to color choice on the same blanket. I had to decide what was most important--1) that it worked2) the color, which surprised me.3) decent quality and soft4) I did not want a high tech (easily broken) temperature gadget (as much as I like tech). I wanted the5) blanket to warm the entire side of the king blanket (be warm when I get into bed) and not just where I was lying.6) Material left to tuck in after plugging it in and7) Enuf electric cord to reach the outlet.So far none are available where you don't feel the wires. Now you can see why I was paralyzed. This blanket has met the requirements after using it 2 weeks so far. The only downside is that it slips to one side of the bed--my spouse's! If the nap ran north south on the bed, that might have helped. So I remake the bed each morning with more on my side! It is so soft and very warm-I can't get above Low without it being too hot on my side. Love the PreHeat. I just make sure I set it so I'm in bed before the PreHeat goes off-less than 30 min. Very often in our milder Florida climates, I don't need to turn it on. It's that warm on its own. The temp gadget is easily seen without being too light in the room; I can use it by memory as it's that easy on your fingers. We are long time electric blanket users and you'd think after 20-30 years these items would have advanced but not. Our last blanket lasted 20 years... From those former reviews--I'll be lucky for 5. We shall see.

My blanket is a beautiful color and heats evenly. I use both halves and the heat is the same throughout. I'm also very satisfied with the softness of the fabric.

I think I expect a little more from such a known brand like Sunbeam, so I was a little disappointed when the blanket I received missed the mark completely. I will say, the reason I gave 1 star, the blanket itself was indeed was a soft fabric.. with that said, there were quite a few things wrong. First, my blanket did not warm up, like at all. So I figured I needed to leave it on to “pre heat” but even after an hour, still nothing, it was the same temperature from 1 to 10. Second: the temp control controller/dialer, is not the same controller in the description/pictures. Third: on the box it came in(which kinda looked used/or previously returned product) but that’s beside the point. The box states “thick and luxurious” the blanket is as thin as a piece of loose leaf Mead paper. All in all, I am actually pretty disappointed in this blanket. So if you are thinking about this blanket, buy at your own risk. I have seen good reviews and bad ones, but I guess I am on the bad side. Unfortunately.

Cool nights in the Northwest fall through spring make an electric blanket a real necessity. We have used this brand for years and needed another after years of use. We do not go into stores during this pandemic so was excited to find exactly what we needed on Amazon. Price was good and service was fast. The blanket is working great.

I bought this blanket in king size in June 2023, and we've had it on our double twin (king) adjustable bed for the 1⅓ years since then. We love that it luxuriously drapes over the sides & foot of the bed by 10-12 inches. No more fighting for the covers. It's heavenly soft, and has maintained that softness through a dozen washings - I still look forward to snuggling with it on weekend mornings. The fabric is thin but in itself is warm. That thinness allows it to bunch on the wires a bit, so making the bed means now also stretching the blanket out again. In the summers we've covered it with a sheet to keep it clean, & didn't need the electric heat. In the winters we've covered it with a blanket or quilt to help retain the heat. But it does not get really warm even set on high, so it doesn't preheat the bed. I would prefer that so I could then turn it off and sleep without the electrical on. I've always been able to do that with my electric blankets. I have to leave this one on a medium setting when I sleep - my husband leaves his on high and it feels the same as mine. When I press on the wires they feel warm - I just think the fabric is too thin to hold the heat.

Already broken and we have only had it for 3 months! The left side stopped working and the control light just blinks continously despite unplugging from mains power and double checking connection at blanket. Apparently return window with Amazon has closed as of Jan 31 2020. Not sure what to do now?!??!

The color is beautiful, just like the picture. It heats very well and it is very light. Definitely recommend it.
