Vepagoo ML9945 10 inch 45 Lb/200N Gas Shocks Struts Lift for Truck Pickup Tool Box Storage Lid Door, Set of 2

I bought the 45 lbs / 200N version for a 20 lbs root cellar hatch. One strut would not hold the hatch, but with two struts (90 lbs / 400N) it's fine. Not sure how you are supposed to figure out what strut to buy, other than trial & error. The screws that come with it are very short and small and I replaced them before installation. The measurements for installation given in the product description didn't work for me. I guess, if in doubt buy the next size and weight rating up and set aside some time to play with it until you make it work.

What we ordered is in the picture on the phone. What we got is to next to the phone and it is labeled as the struts but they are not the struts we ordered we're trying to get the correct order and are having a hard time thank you.I must include that these struts were purchased in my "Buy Again" option as we have been using the previously purchased ones on the rest of our RV doors for the past 2 years and the perform flawlessly! So would be 5 stars but this time I received the brackets without the actual struts! Jokes on me!

Worked perfectly on my 2002 Ranger 520VX. Four star rating is only because the description shows these come with mounting hardware and they do not, not a problem for me because I used existing mounts, but be aware if you are looking for a complete kit this is not it.

I purchased these gas shocks to replace the ones on my old tool box lid. The lid is not very heavy so the 10 lb type worked well. I tried these on my truck tool box and they were not strong enough and required the 35 lb version.The only issue I had with these was the directions were a bit unclear. To install, a small screwdriver is inserted under the clip and slightly lifted to slip on the ball socket. The first time, I over did it and the clip rotated. I think it was more a user error than an problem with the strut.

I bought these for my truck bed aluminum toolbox, to replace the old and worn out struts used to hold the lid up when open. These fit great and so far are working great. I chose the 22.5 lb rated struts since the lid isn't heavy steel and didn't require stronger support. So far I'm happy with these.

The struts were exactly as described and fit perfect. I had a bit of an issue (my fault) when I went to pull the holding clip out to install the strut. I pulled it a little to far and the clip rotated in the ball. I had to get some pliers after it to get it rotated back in place. Lesson learned!! Once that was back in place, install was easy.

Bought these to replace trunk lid struts on 08 Pont convertible, but when installing, found the ball on the car much larger than hole in strut. couldn't replace ball with out cutting off existing one and sure didn't want to do that.Fast shipping and arrived in good condition, just wouldn't fit.Received refund.

i have a low profile truck box on my pickup and the struts went out so i looked them up on Amazon and the Vepagoo works perfectly i would recommend this as a great OEM replacement easy to install and quality is just as good or better then the original .
