Chaco Women's Wayfarer Sandal

I was so excited to try these, as I’ve heard Chaco is an excellent brand with stellar quality. While these seem to be very well made, there a couple things preventing me from loving them.First, there are some sharp edges to the leather which make the straps uncomfortable. To be fair, I have really sensitive skin so this might be more apparent to me, but this could have been prevented easily if they had sealed the edges of the leather or used a softer leather that’s not so stiff. I have other genuine leather shoes that are wonderfully comfortable and soft with no sharp edges while still being durable.Second, the straps on the right shoe were quite a bit tighter than the left, making that shoe painfully uncomfortable 😕.At this price point, I think these kinds of issues shouldn’t be happening.I will say they seem sturdy and the arch support was amazing. It could be that I got a fluke pair.Update: I’ve now ordered multiple pairs of these in different colors of the same size, and the tight strap issue is definitely A quality control one, as it’s present in the other colors as well. You may just have to order more than one pair to get a good one 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️. I couldn’t find another comfortable walking shoe with good arch support, a thick sole and nice style, so I decided to deal with the hassle of ordering multiples for an upcoming trip.The issue of sharp edges seems to be whatever they use to seal the ends of the threads — glue or resin or something. Once you cut these off, the shoe is comfortable… hopefully the threads don’t unravel 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Man made material does not stretch with wear. Fits the length of my foot but the strap are tight. Maybe try a W fit or do “try before you buy”.

Have had a pair of Chaco's for years and they are a staple year around! Wanted a bit dressier pair and these looked like the fit the bill. They are a little large, quality is great, good arch support. My shoe size is a true 10, slightly on the wider side, but not too wide. Consider sizing down 1/2 size if you like these.

I purchased a half a size smaller than I would usually get they fit comfortable the lasted when I wear them outside and got them wet. They seem to even fit better for me.

Beautiful sandals! Amazing quality! True to size! I wear and 9.5 to 10. The 10 was a perfect fit. So cute and easy to dress up or wear casually

I originally ordered a size 8. Depending on the shoe I wear between an 8 and 8-1/2. The foot bed was slightly too small so I had to return them. Ordered a size 9 because half sizes are not available. The arch support feels great but the foot bed is slightly too big. The negative is the pinky toe cross strap is way too floppy. It is almost like it has been stretched out due to wear. They do appear to be new, never worn. It may not be a flaw just a sandal built for someone with a thicker ankle. Maybe this wouldn't be an issue if I could order 8-1/2.

Quality leather. Ordered my usual size and fit great.
