Levi'sMen's 514 Straight Fit Jeans

Seems to be a lot of hating for these jeans and I really do not understand why. I always get 514's as they fit well, are comfortable, wash well and are built to last. I still have a pair that are in pretty good condition (despite a small hole which I had patched and fixed for a fiver at a Levis store) that I bought 6 years ago that I have literally run into the ground yet still look good. I believe these jeans to be great quality. Yes these days jeans often have other materials blended into the fabrics for comfort so if you are insistent on 100% cotton then you will probably have to go down the 501 route or something like that. I was initially a bit confused as the tab just has the R on it but I have been assured by the Levis store that these are genuine as they have to produce a number of pair just with the red tab (something to do with the trademark) and to be honest...I don't care about such detail as long as they are genuine. Great price too (same jeans are £100 in the Levis store) so what is there not to like? With so many styles and fits...fill up your basket with different styles as you may find that some work for you and some that you hate.

I usually wear slim jeans but I wanted a different shape to wear to work. These jeans still give a nice wrap around the thigh area but loose around the calves to allow for more movement. There's some stretch to these jeans as well which is welcome. My only concern is the quality of the fabric might not be that great because after wearing them for about 5 months now, colour has faded around things that I put in my pocket. For example my phone, keys, and a marker pen I carry around all the time. It has gone really light blue around the shapes of each of these objects. Which is very obvious considering these jeans are dark in colour. I thought as first it was a stain but after multiple washes it has stayed the same. The zip is, at times, troublesome and can be difficult to zip up properly. Otherwise I do like the style of these jeans. It's a shame that the quality isn't up to the usual Levi's standard.

Nice jeans but had to return for a smaller waist. Good quality, smart dark black for every occasion.

I've been through various Levi jeans and so far these are my favourite.I like Levi because they do in between sizes I'm not quite a 32 but 34 are too big having the option for 33 makes them a better fit.Had them for a while now and the colour is still as good as when I got them just remember to wash inside out.Very nice fit and not bad price.

Finally given up on my beloved Levi’s after a lifetime. Quality has got very poor. Three pairs over past three years - tearing at the crotch every time with in a year - and the material too fragile to make a good-enough mend.Heading out to look for quality denim - very sad. 😔Update: Found a great pair at M&S for half the price. Quality and easy returns if needed.
