Relatively quite small, 3 x 4 inches of swatting surface so your aim may need working on. But in keeping with its smaller size it's also very light, though it puzzles me why this wasn't made larger and heavier like their fixed version, I was expecting something similar to that but extendable. Still in use we have grown to like it and the extension allows my wife to reach places where she has never gone before, so we are ordering another given that the larger River's Edge model is not available at this time. It's the swatting face that counts really, it has to be durable, as this seems to be, otherwise thin plastic quickly disintegrates given the dry, high desert heat in which we live. And maybe the small size will become an asset as my wife likes to read her Kindle before going to sleep but finds mosquitos are very attracted to its light. Slamming the cover shut doesn't get them, that merely shoots them off into space to regroup and make another approach, perhaps they even enjoy the experience. So she's going to try this compact and collapsable swatter to see if it will work where other methods fail.

At firts I lked it a lot, the extendable feature was a plus, but the plastic/blue part was verystiff and dry, not flexible at all... when I hit against the table to kill a fly, it broke.. very poor quality swatter, I'll give two stars because of the extendable part. The plastic could be dry if it was storage for long or I don't know if the material is like this even recently leaving from the factory.

if u need a fly swatter for a child to use, this is it. I extends to the length of a regular fly swatter.............do not waste your money.

Last night was the first time I used this swatter it literally cracked at the base and now it doesn't swat properly. When I first got it, I was not happy with the size of the plastic swatter head as it was very small and you would have to be very accurate. The handle was the only thing that I liked. I would have returned mine today, but I am just past my 30 day return policy...........ugh.

Works fine, but the swatter part is very small...must have good aim.
