Great for pet hair
I bought the broom and the brush. I have a lab that sheds a lot, and both of them do a fantastic job of sweeping up my dog's hair from hardwood floors. I have a similar, cheaper rubber broom, and the silicone bristles do a far better job.

Fail!!
Don't waste your money. The handle isn't sturdy at all. Mine broke after one use and the silicone parts started to dry rot. Wouldn't recommend it.

No good on rugs with memory foam
Sweeps better than most other brooms but useless on the rugs I was hoping to use it for. It sticks and won't move.

Solicited Review: Primarily used for cat hair on shag carpet
The people marketing this product solicited this review, perhaps because I buy a lot of products for cats. Indeed, I do have six cats, and I have a shag rug, and, up until now, I have not had a steam spot cleaner, so, I used the product with spray products when one of my cats had an accident on the carpet. If you can imagine all the other non-mechanized products for cleaning rugs, it will be easy to imagine how this is superior to a standard broom with hair, straw, or metal bristles. Hair and straw don't have the strength, and metal is too strong, with the risk of tearing the carpet fibers. The plastic fibers also means it is easy to clean in a bucket or over a sink. The only real competition on a rug, with wet animal product may be a sponge mop, but they tend to spread the stuff around, and need a lot of moisture to work. A small sponge defeats the purpose, by being necessary to bend down. Because, I am at an age where bending down is not as easy as it once was.On hard floors such as linoleum, I suggest this is best as a pre-cleaner to dislodge stuff, followed by sponge mop and Spic and Span. Of course, this will not work on spilled kibble or kitty litter. But on carpets, this is a very good thing to have, even with one cat or dog.

Better on Hard Surfaces
When I think of pet broom, I think of something that can sweep up dog and cat fur, particularly off couches and carpet. This pet broom really doesn't do the trick. What it does do is roll all the fur up into bunches that cling to the carpet fibers in something resembling old, dirty cobwebs, which I can then pick up with my bare hands.I tried using the broom instead in my garage as a push broom for all the dirt. It performs better on hard surfaces, but the head is small and the handle is short. To clean any large area, comfortably, I'd need to be on my knees.Washing the broom is indeed easy. I just run it under the garden hose and shake it off.I'm sorry to say I'm not as ecstatic as I was hoping to be over this, but it doesn't scratch surfaces and I can use it on hard floors. Maybe it should have been marketed as just a push broom with a longer handle. This product was provided for review by iDesign.
