Anyone can use a token to represent a hydra, but this miniature goes to another level; it has detachable head sockets and junctions for more heads to grow. Also comes with 5 heads and 5 double heads, so it should fit most situations.Excellent, and can't wait to run a Greek-themed adventure with it.

A great mini for RPGS!
The Hydra was great to paint! It does have a few areas that are hard to get to, like the inside of the coils and in the mouths of the heads, but nothing that is unreachable with some patience. The option to have multiple heads was a really nice addition that I don't see in other hydra minis. Each head is removable and replaceable with two-headed version. Can't wait to get this to the table!

It's size is misleading
Although the size on amazon makes the item seem like it's around 12*12*4 inches, it is actually measured in centimeters for the two 12s.

Great snake-like hydra
I know this is a weird thing to have strong opinions on but I always liked snake hydras (no legs) better than lizard hydras (with legs). There's something more alien and horrifying about a multiheaded snake.This is a great kit, made from soft plastic but not bendy and preprimed so it is ready for painting. You have a choice of heads, either 5 snake like single heads or 5 bisected necks with 2 heads on them. You can also leave them unglued and spit them as the heroes lop off a head to find 2 more grow back.The size is good too. It positively towers over a typical 28mm model.

Some of the heads have trouble fitting, otherwise great.
One of the great things about this minature is the interchangeable heads. You have to make sure the pegs fit in the holes that match their shape. However, two of them had some extra plastic in the neck-holes, making it difficult to fit head-peg to the neck-holes. However. I was able to get them to fit by scraping the inside of the neck-hole with a needle beforehand and wiggling the head when inserting the peg into the neck-hole.Otherwise, a great miniature.
