The Phantom Castle (The Way of the Shaman: Book #4) Paperback – 17 April 2017

Mahan continues to progress in his 3 forward,2 back type way. The writer still manages to surprise and shock the reader, whilst the plot line ratchets back and forth to help the sometimes confusing story. All in very entertaining reading 10/10

An incredible book in an amazing series even if it does send you on a emotional roller coaster however it proves what a good author he is to suck you in that much.

A fantastic LitRPG read (the whole set of 7). If you like this genre this will work for you. If you like science fantasy you will almost certainly enjoy this too, but be advised there are some MMO-style level-up and statistics paragraphs common to the LitRPG genre. These parts are far smaller and quite unobtrusive than in some similar books I have read, so I do not think it would bother the majority of science fantasy readers.

A great book filled with suspense, action and plot twists only the most cleverly contorted mind could come up with. Definitely lives up to the previous ones in the series. Would definitely recommend.

There's just not enough combat or growth. I don't think the mc has had to fight on his own more than 5 times the ENTIRE series. Like. How co-dependant can you possibly be? And then he just lucks his entire way through with someone coming to save him right at the end. The book finally rushes the explanation in the last 1%. As if there was a maximum word count that he had forgotten was approaching. "Oh damn, 100 words left. This is why everything previous had to happen. The end."Still a good series, just not worth the price tag in order to continue.

I found it not as good as the first 2 books but about the same as book 3.It seemed a bit shorter as well.

The stories storyline just get more enthralling with each book. If the a problem it the cliffhanger at the end.

I love all the way of the shaman books. Keep up the good work.
