This starter is VERY sturdy and excellent quality throughout.
This starter is VERY sturdy, well thought out design, very good quality materials (wood, brass, aluminum), and excellent workmanship. The long starter rod is a solid rod, not a tube. Also, it is EXACTLY as described and pictured.Your hand is pushing on a smooth hemisphere of the wood knob for both the short and long starter.The long starter with the concave tip mounted (exactly as shown in Amazon's product photo) is 4- 3/8 inches long, knob to tip. That should be plenty to get the projectile past most any bullet board, muzzle guard, and past any "choke" you have in your barrel.
