DOA, would not even power up.

Works as advertised. Great for running a home run (or "hub") off a drop cable from your network backbone without having to add too & snake the backbone to your new set up. My NMEA backbone didn't run through my engine room. I added several NMEA powered sensors for the engines and went with this product to get the info to the backbone of the network. Maretron NMEA products are pretty tough and this one is no different. I like the connectors because they have a ratcheting click as you tighten them. It gives you a good seal. You do need to make sure there's enough power being injected on your network close to where you plug this into a drop port. Power balancing the network can be tricky with this added into the mix.I thought from the picture that there were LEDs next to each port to indicate activity but there isn't. The little white bars are for labeling. They're a little too small to be effective and they come in a bag, you have to snap them in. Which can be a poa because of their size. The price is equivalent to buying individual components and cables to accomplish the same. The value shows in the easier and cleaner install.
