If you're looking for a compact portable trap for a GO bag or survival this is great but if youre trying to catch crabs in a canal or ocean they will quickly destroy this net. May get one use. Would last longer for fish alone. Very easy to open and close and store though. Would be perfect if the netting was higher quality

I like it ! Good product maybe van improve a little on quality for the net but price wise it’s better than expected! I recommend this net the only thing that’s unfortunate is that it does not have a zipper to release you catch faster

I loved the softness, and how lightweight it was. Crabs seemed to prefer it, but when rough water conditions occurred, it was easily moved by the waves, so much so that it tore a hole in the bottom of the trap and the crabs would slip out as you pulled it up. It also gets caked with silt so bad that you cannot see what is inside and then creatures cannot breathe after awhile.I bought it a month ago and put it in The Bay of Pensacola, FL and tied it to my pier. I left it there for about a week and when I came back to check it, there was silt and only the bait. The crabs could not even see inside, nor smell the bait because the mesh smelled bad like rotten bait when I brought it to the surface of the water. I caught 2 crabs and one slipped out of the hole that the rough water torn into the bottom.I ended up just throwing it away after about a month of using it.The silt on the mesh gets really caked on it and then it is useless because it won’t come off easily.

Trap is very lightweight and built to not stand up to hard use. My traps deformed just from the resistance encountered by pulling them up while in the expanded position. They are effective at catching crawdads, but plan on buying replacements every few uses as they will not stand up to much use at all.

Bought this for my son's 12th birthday and he loved it! Works great.
