Not bad, not great
This little pump is more sturdily built than its competitors, and it is entirely effective at moving water quickly. However, it is astonishingly difficult to find a pump that is easy to maintain. For medium/small boats, a manual bilge pump is a safety item, so it is essential to be able to effect a field repair. The manufacturer sells replacements, but there is no manual or guide, and the disassembly requires enough force that I am worried about breaking the plastic. Some of the joints appear to be chemically welded, so it is unclear how the assembly is intended to be maintained. These pumps are so simple; why is it so hard to find one built to last?

Not What I expected
Was fraction of size from usual thirsty mate pumps I have bought in past. Make sure to check exact dimensions for this item!

Works great
We got one of these and got a second one (one for each kayak) because they work so well. They are nice to have for times when it rains or when you just want to wash out the kayak and get all the water out (which can be tricky). You won't get every drop, but you can suck out significant amounts very, very quickly. And they are small and light so they are no problem to store and use.It sure beats bailing with a plastic cup.

We're sinking !
I purchased this little pump as a means to pump out rain and salt water from my dingy. Simple unit and works well. I liked the fact that the unit appears well made in the USA not a cheap offshore product.

Quality piece.
Quality is good but hose just a bit too short.

Moves a lot of water
I don't know the length of the hose and don't care because I don't use it. This thing shoots water far, and shoots lots of it, no real need for a hose. I'm almost tempted to capsize my kayak just to try this thing out. Seems quite sturdy, and the length makes it easy to tuck away in my kayak.
