PET KIBBLE - FIVE STARS AND WHY
I have been looking for a good kibble jug for months. I kept reading about of jugs or jars that were SUPPOSED to keep kibble free from pests, but then I would read reviews of people saying how they DON'T keep pests out and showing pests like ants in them. UGH.I decided I wanted a good size plastic jug with a wide mouth so I could dip a measuring cup in, a screw on top and a handle. One that would hold about three or four pounds of cat or dog kibble (one cat, one small medium dog who is elderly and eats really small kibble).THIS ONE stood out.I have now been using it for awhile and here are the pros and a tip.PROS:STURDY ENOUGH PLASTIC - I wouldn't want to keep rocks or bolts in it, although I guess could work, but it's GREAT for kibble!LOVE the WIDE MOUTH! - I often just find myself pouring some kibble out, but it's great you can put in a measuring cup.HANDLE - The big handle is GREAT. I'm getting older and to just pick up a jug with a handle, not as comfortable as with one!KEEPS EVERYTHING OUT~ UNLESS there are already ants or larvae or whatever in the kibble before you open it, this keeps everything out.HOW MUCH DOES IT HOLD? Well, it holds the 3.5 pound bag of the Purina One Indoor Advantage kibble for my cat. So depending on kibble size....TIP: IT DOES SAY WASH FIRST and I DID WASH AND DRY IT WELL. It had a bit of a chemical smell and besides it's got my pets (one for cat, one for dog) food in it! I wouldn't use it for food for me unwashed, not using for my fur kids.Smell does dissipate.PRICE - for TWO I think it's a really good price for the quality and having the features I want.

A great container, hard to find.
What I look for: wide mouth to get a measuring scoop with a long handle in there, HDPE material, slightly translucent so I can see the level of substance within (and know to get more at the store with a glance), huge capacity which rests stable, and square shape to fully utilize storage footprint. Also, not horribly expensive. This model is hard to find. I think "US Plastic Co." has the main creation mold for it, so it's nice to find a seller to get around the wholesale framework/shipping if you only need a few of these at a time.

Great find, heavy duty
Some of the poor reviews had me worried, but I'm glad I gave this a shot. I needed containers to store fertilizer enhanced water in for my indoor plants, and had a tough time finding something around a gallon with a wide mouth, which I needed. These are sturdy, lids are well fitting, and even when absolutely filled to the very top, feel very secure. The handle is great and also hold up to full capacity with no problem. I use them on a daily basis and couldn't be happier with the purchase.Raving 5 star review!

Big plastic jugs
I wanted a new bucket for storing sidewalk salt, but Rubbermaid quit making the style I have years ago, and I haven't found anything similar. So I got these. The set of 2 works so I can separate paw friendly from regular salt. I've had no need to salt any ice since I got them, so I don't know how much trouble I'll have getting the salt out to use. I used to just take that small pail and dip from it as I went. It had a hinged lid that I didn't loose and it sealed to keep my salt dry after use. Loosing the handle made everything difficult, but now, with age, I'm having issues with my hands that have moved past just being a little difficult. My last salt came with a scoop I think will work ok to scoop salt out of the jug as I go, and ill just have to keep track of the lid. They seem sturdy enough, but I'm hoping the plastic will be strong enough so I won't have to worry about the handle breaking again. And I'll be able to bring them into the house to store in the basement again so I won't have any more melted salt over the summer. So far, it would seem my "aging" lady needing something with a handle so I can lug salt around problem has been solved.

Used to store cat kibble
I buy 7lb Purina One cat food which comes in a bag and wanted to store the cat food in something secure. I purchased a (2 pack) plastic container that has a pour spout embedded in the lid but it was too tall and I did not like the spout in the top of the lid as it just allowed more air to get into the container. That container claimed to hold a whole 7lb bag of Purina One cat kibble (their picture ad on amazon showed the Purina 7lb INSIDE the container) but that was a 100% total lie. A lot must be poured out before that bag would fit.Anyway, I purchased these solid lid (2 pack) plastic containers and they are just fine for what I want. The Purina cat 7lb cat kibble fits just fine within these 2 containers fine and no more problem pouring from these found top hole containers than that worthless spout on the other one. Also, these round containers are not quite as tall so they fit better into my pantry shelves. I also believe that without that spout embedded in the lid that less oxygen gets into the kibble - keeping it fresh longer.
