portable, inexpensive, does great job at what it does 👍
Very tiny and portable. I use this to crush pigments to make paint, and it does the job. I'd say the particles or powder size would be pretty fine as to baking soda or baby powder. Which is perfect if u want to make smooth paint! 🧠 Just be careful while using because the pestle is hollow ceramic.

Perfect for what I needed
It's small, but it's certainly not useless! Works great, the price is ridiculously low, and it's just as good as any that you'd find on shelves in the store. Grinds great and it's perfect for what I use it for (spells, incense, herbal powders, herbal medicine). A word to the wise, though, buy TWO. Well, if you intend to grind up resins, anyway. Keep one for resins, another for herbs. It's not this mortar and pestle specifically (I'm sure this will happen to any of them), but after grinding up dragon's blood resin (and nothing will give you bigger arm muscles than grinding THAT), I had a pretty nearly impossible time trying to wash the mortar free of the resin. So if that's what you need it for, like I did, definitely buy two! The low price makes that possible. Wowee!

Not as advertised but not worth complaining over
Very odd. I have ordered this exact same product before and the item I got the second time was completely different. It did not come in a package and Was not white was not as thick and had a little doodad drawing on the side. All that said, it still works for my purposes and unfortunately not worth my time disputing an item that was just a few dollars. Maybe that is just taking advantage of the buyer on a small ticket item.

Excellent grinding surface, Short pestle
The good feature is the roughened surface on the inside of the mortar and lower part of the pestle. On Camelina seed it still took 10 minutes to grind and we still didn't get the fine powder we needed to test on our lab gas chromatograph, but it worked better than our bead beater and the smooth surfaced glass mortar and pestle. For dried herbs it would do a fantastic job in a minute.A very big fault is the length of the pestle. It was way too short to be comfortable, for any length of time. Increase the length of the pestle and I'd give this 5 stars.

Good product
I brought this to crush up pills for a benzo titration. The size was very small - this is what I was trying to get. But, it was not the right application for this because the center on the mortar is not glazed so that the crushed pill would stick to the center bottom. The price was excellent. I will use for herbs and such in the kitchen. For this it is perfect.

This is perfect to grind up my dog's pills. It's small but sturdy. Shipping was a bit delayed, but came within a few days.

Small batch food prep.
Purchased product for grinding/crushing herbs from garden. Might be small for some, but works for small batches.
