I haven't had a chance to use it but it looks great, is nice and balanced and is a shape that I have been wanting to try.

The knife was blunt from day one. It actually is worse that the faberware knife that I had for over ten years. It am quite upset that the rating on this site does not accurately describe the actual quality of this knife. Don't waste your time and money on this one.

If my review is glowing, it is because I truly think highly of the product in question.This is a very nice knife, and I have only high quality knives in my cutting drawer. This brushed finish stainless steel knife is way less expensive than two of my Wusthof hollow edged knives (I paid 8 times more for each), and it cuts, slices and dices just about as nicely. The blade is 8 inches long, the handle is curved and fits nicely in your hand. The knife has a nice weight and feels great in your hand.The blade is a little thicker than my more expensive Wusthof and Cuisinart knives but does not present a problem. This is not an actual criticism, but I did use my knife sharpener (a KitchenAid plug in, a very good three stage sharpener) because there was the smallest amount of resistance, and the knife was like cutting butter with a hot blade after. Really excellent cutting power.I like the fact that the knife is all one piece so there are no grooves for food matter to hide in. The brushed/matte finish is very attractive and does not pick up fingerprints at all. A small thing, but a classy touch is the Zentone logo, with the T being a small knife at the base of the blade etched on the knife.I don't know how the manufacturers can produce such a high quality knife for such a low price, but whatever knives you have in your drawer, you can add this one to your collection. Or buy several and give them as gifts. No one will think you paid so little and you will be a hero!

I love love love this knife. I am not one to have a certain knife for every little thing. I use a good knife on many things, regardless of what its purpose is. To me, if it cuts good - it cuts good.I started using this particular chef's knife on Thanksgiving and have been using it almost every day since. It worked wonders in carving my turkey and leaving smooth edges instead of jagged ones. Even tonight when I made tacos, this knife just glided through the tomatoes and onions, making it super easy to dice them as small as I like them. In fact, the knife slid through the tomatoes with VERY little effort, and went through the onions with only slight pressure. In using it every day, I would think that the blade would have begun to dull already, but it surprisingly has not. If and when it does, I can just pass it through my handy dandy knife sharpener.The feel of the knife is great. There is weight to it, but it isn't so heavy that it becomes uncomfortable. The handle is perfectly sized for a comfortable fit in the hand. The knife is crafted with stainless steel, so it will not tarnish or rust, and will remain durable for many years to come. The knife is made of one complete piece of metal, so there are no seams. It's almost like a piece of art. The brushed stainless steel is really pretty. It would look amazing on one of those magnetic strips displayed right on a kitchen wall. It is fairly light and easy to handle. I typically hand wash all my nice knives, but this one is dishwasher safe. I love the size as well. You know how when you cut a tomato there is a little push back from the skin if your knife isn't sharp enough? Well, this one did come that way. Although, after I sharpened it, it sliced easily through my tomatoes and has continued to stay sharp so far. So far I have sliced carrots, chopped frozen strawberries, and cut bacon, tomatoes, and lettuce. It made super quick work of my green onions for salsa, too. It even stayed sharp enough to cut through the entire depth of the green onion. Often times the part that lies on the board tend to not get cut all the way through. I've never had onions cut so well. I think this knife is definitely a better, superior choice for this price than one priced the same at a place like Walmart.
