Mine were sharp right out of the box! I was using the all in one tool thing and they suck, definitely an upgrade to what I was using!

Decent tools
These are certainly not too shelf, but they get the job done. For the price point they are a deal. They would be good for students and beginners. Professionals would likely desire a higher quality.

Amazing for the price
These are amazing for the price, only thing i am not big on is i wish the size increase was bigger. They are one of the very few things in my leather shop that came sharp enough to use out of the box. Also wish i could find a curved version of these for rounded corners.

Not sharp
These edge bevelers do not have a good edge on them. They aren’t sharp enough to cut the leather without dragging and wrinkling the remaining edge.Maybe I got a bad pair but both the 1mm and 1.5mm have the same issue.I’m attempting to give them a good edge but I also happen to be a knife maker who knows how to fix the issue. Spend a couple extra bucks on a better made product if you don’t want to buy a chore.

DULL! Even after stropping!
These could not have been made crummier- dull and poor quality

They aren't all that sharp
I don't think these are as sharp as they should be. One of them chewed the edges of leather on the top grain side. After a few passes on my project they got dull quickly.
