Raddy SW3
The Raddy SW3 was a great find. Good solid built compact radio packed with some great features. I carried with me July 4th to a family BBQ, the radio sounded great and lasted all day with no issue. The battery kept music playing well into the night. The flash light and flip up reading light are both very bright and can light up the entire room easy. The added bonus of the motion detector on the flip up light makes it great for camp sites, no stumbling around looking for a light when you first step out of the tent. Be careful with the SOS alarm, it takes a second to activate and deactivate, it is VERY loud.Side by side with other emergency radios I own(Midland, if I can say their name) The Raddy SW3 wins hands down in many areas. It feels more solid and higher quality when you pick it up right out of the box. The lights on the SW3 are far brighter and much more useful than the small light included on the Midland. Battery life when ran side by side, the SW3 outlasted the Midland by 5 or 6 hours on a single charge. Cranking the two radios for one minute, again the SW3 won out by about 2 minutes of battery life. This coupled with the solar charger that keeps the batteries topped off, and the ability to charge a cell phone from the SW3 makes it the winner in the power category as well. The Midland does win in the fact it has a digital clock and alarm where the SW3 does not. The Midland also has a weather alert setting, sounding off when the weather stations issue alarms. That feature sometimes being annoying because the weather may not be in your area.Possibly offering a digital clock and weather alert on the SW3, and maybe offering it in Safety Yellow or Blaze Orange, would secure this radio a solid place in the US emergency use area. Overall it is a fantastic radio, well built, solid and packed with great features. I will be replacing my Midlands with SW3s going forward and have highly recommended it to others.

Raddy SW3 Emergency Radio
The media could not be loaded. I live in Puerto Rico, and we are constantly getting earthquakes, hurricanes/storms, power blackouts, and all kinds of bad weather, so I purchased the Raddy SW3 so that I can be prepared in any kind of situation and also for when I go camping. I love all the features this radio has from the multiple light modes and sources to the ability to be powered from different ways.So far I have been using it and it's been working great. The battery lasts a REALLY long time and the lights are very nice and bright with 4 different light modes including a motion sensor. The hand crank is really smooth and easy to operate and charge up the radio. The audio from the speaker sounds great! It is loud and clear. The FM reception is pretty good however the AM reception is a bit weak but you can still pick up stations no problem. The only thing so far that I don't really like about this radio are the dial knobs. The volume knob seems a bit loose but not in the way that it wants to fall out but just by turning it left or right it's to lose in my opinion and the tuning knob is not smooth and at times it feels like its grinding. These are basically my only 2 complaints about the radio.PROS:1- AM, FM, and NOAA Weather Bands.2- Tuner Light that lets you know when you have a strong station signal.3- Multiple ways of powering up the radio.4- 4000mAh Rechargeable Battery.5- Multiple lights with multiple light modes.6- Ability to power up an external device in an emergency.7- Small and compact.8- Rubberized texture makes it easy to grip and less likely that it will slip off the hands.CONS:1- ON/OFF Volume Knob feels a bit loose when turning it left or right.2- Tuner Knob is not smooth and it feels like it grinds when turning it at times.OVERALL RATING = 4.5/5I am really happy with the purchase and for the price this little radio is really hard to beat with all its features. I have had amazing customer service experiences with Radioddity, so I really trust them and their products.

Fun multi-purpose Radio & Emergency power bank
Overall: This little radio feels solid and is packed with features that may seem unnecessary until the rare day where you really need them.Don't get me wrong about the practical side of this radio - it picks up AM/FM and Weather frequencies great and fills the niche left behind now that "boomboxes" are no longer a staple of every household (as they were in the 90s).Would I use all the other features on a daily basis? Some daily, some weekly, some rarely, and a few maybe never - so that's how I'm breaking down my review on those areas:Daily- Radio AM/FM/Wx: sometimes it's nice to have a dedicated radio to kick around rather than pulling up music and weather on your phoneWeekly- USB charger: it's nice to charge your phone while letting the radio do its thingRarely- Flashlight/Floodlight/Night light (under the solar panel): in a pinch it's nice to have any of the 3 light modes powered by a bigger rechargeable battery- Solar or hand-crank power source: in a *real* disaster it's nice to have a power bank that can charge your phone and HAM radio/FRS radio without relying on the gridMaybe never- Motion activated light (under the solar panel): this feature didn't seem to really work for me. Setting the light to motion sensing led to the light coming on seemingly randomly and not too reliably. I think the use case for it is to leave it on somewhere you need light when you come in/approach, but I really don't think the execution/reliability lends itself to this use case...Would I take it car camping? Sure.Would I take it backpacking? Not really. Most of the features aren't worth carrying the added weight for. Will I ever need the solar panel or hand crank? I hope not, but great to have for the few times in a lifetime where I need them.Kid friendliness? Yes. It's such an intriguing device for young kids to explore and learn about.

The media could not be loaded.
