If you carry open or concealed, this the holster to get.
I have tried many different holsters and this one is the most comfortable ever. I can use it right side or left side for cross drawing and is stable and comfortable. The tension adjustment is excellent and allows me to draw firmly and with minimum effort. Great product.

What can I say? It's a Fobus.
What can I say-it is a Fobus. Good quality, tough product.I actually got this to carry my PT-145 Millennium Pro, while not made for that weapon in-particular it is a good fit. There is a retention screw at the trigger-guard and once I adjusted it to my liking a put a drop of lock tight to set it.Holster and weapon have gone fishing, photographing hiking, climbing and to the store with me as part of my EDC.The only issue is it does wear the coating on the top-sides of the slide quickly. To me it is not an issue-black magic marker would resolve it cheaply, but to someone with a show weapon I'd recommend something else.

Good holster for the price
I am a Range Officer of an organized practical pistol group that is specific to the XD line of pistols. We needed a loaner left handed holster for new shooters or in case someone forgot to pack one. I wasn't looking to spend a lot of money since this was only going to serve as a standby and wouldn't be used regularly. This Fobus holster fits that requirement very well.Out of the package, it was a little too tight, but a quick adjustment of the retention screw remedied that issue. Even after adjustment, retention is solid and secure. One benefit to this holster is that the wearer does not need to remove his/her belt to secure or remove the holster. The best benefit of this holster, for our needs, is that it will work for any length XD in 9mm, .40, or .357. Yes, it will accommodate the 3" subcompact, 4" service, and 5" tactical models. We haven't tried it on the XDm line yet.Is there a downside? It wouldnt be my choice for everyday concealed carry. But it is a good, inexpensive holster that does what it is supposed to do.

comfortable, secure fit for my XD .45
My SA XD .45 fits perfectly into this holster, and the adjustment screw is what makes this purchase worthwhile. Without the screw, I could see it being a pain to draw my firearm at times, depending on my body position, clothes, etc. With the screw I can adjust it and use one setting that works all the time or even adjust on the fly for clothing or any other consideration. I wouldn't say my XD is concealable with this holster with normal clothing, but it is a great answer to safety concerns on the range. Having a good fitting holster while out shooting gives me a safe place to store my loaded firearm while checking targets, rather than setting it somewhere that may be unsafe. I have worn this holster with jeans and dickies pants and it works fine and has stayed in place and comfortable for the 6 hours I'm generally out practicing. The only potential drawbacks, that wasn't a drawback for me but might be for someone else, are the single angle of draw and it is not adjustable at all, which I find to be perfect for me, and the fact that it sits a little high. Not really a big enough complaint to lose a star, but I thought I'd throw that out there for all those considering purchase.

Excellent holster
Works great. I loosened mine is a bit the retention was too much for me. I have heard others say if they loosened theirs the nut would fall off. So I but a drop of red locktite on mine. Then ran the screw back and forth a couple times to spread the locktite. Then set it to my preferred tension. After the locktite dried I have been carrying it for about a month and am very pleased. The locktite may not be needed but after hearing others say they lost their screw after loosening it I didn't want to risk it.

Great Lefty Holster
I'm a lefty with a XDm .45 3.8". The gun fits great and the paddle is very comfortable for daily wear. Understandably the gun does sit a little high off the belt line. This is not a deep seated concealed carry holster! I mainly use it for occasional open carry, as well as training courses where I'm running, jumping and rolling in the dirt. The retention has been excellent. As a lefty this is a good value to me and my particular firearm.

No sé puede usar el seguro con está funda
Encaja muy forzado y no se puede usar el seguro con está funda aún así mi hermano decidí quedarse con el producto por qué no la encontré en otro lugar.

Did not fit my XDM 3.8
How about this because I'm left-handed in holsters are hard to find sometimes. A Priestly purchased one of these for my Smith & Wesson with the green Crimson Trace Laser the only thing was it was for the old version with the red laser so the gun did not fit. I decided to give this company a Second Chance and bought one for my XDM because I like the way they look. Upon receiving the item opening it up and putting my gun into the holster it would not go all the way in without loosening the retention screw all the way until the screw and nut fell out! And I had to push it hard even with that removed! Like that wasn't bad enough trying to get the gun out was even worse. If I was in a life-or-death draw situation I'd be a dead man right now. Not only that the whole store not work but it's scuffed the side of my brand new gun really badly making it look like it's about 2 years old when it's only 2 days old! So because I wasted my time wasted my money and defaced my beautiful new gun...I can only give the lowest 1 star. I will never purchase one of these again. Anybody else who has these problems try Safariland they will custom build your holster for about $50-$60
