Well USA Made RADA Cutlery Serrated Tomato Slicer knife
Update: 6+ months later and its still as sharp as when I bought it and almost use this every day, I hand wash and dry and use a good wood cutting board that is well oiled. I use this on onions, tomatoes, Sausage Links, Lettuce and speeds right on through with NO effort. This is a very well quality made Serrated slicer knife From RADA made in USA. It uses USA Carbon Steel. While it is sharp, being serrated it's not as razor sharp like a fillet knife would be. The handle is a nice solid piece of Hard wood, polished to a nice smooth surface, but still easy to grip. I like it for slicing fruits and veggies with it. The 5 inch blade and overall length of 9 inches makes this a smaller knife to use, which I really like. smaller than any of my Mercer or Dexter knives which I was looking for a high quality smaller/shorter knife and this RADA fits the bill. I think they make most knifes about 20% to large anyway. Not on the cheaper side, but well worth the bucks, IMO.

My favorite kitchen knives
Cuts tomatoes and onions like a champ. Which is important if you're making your own subs. For years, my favorite kitchen knives have been ones with aluminum handles that I bought in a grocery store in Decatur, IL some 40+ years ago, sometime between 1975 and 1978. I finally decided to try to track down who made them - there are no manufacturer's stamps anywhere on the knives. I (easily) discovered that Rada makes them. One of the great things about RADA knives (the non-serrated ones) is that they sharpen easily and very quickly using one of those little, rolling, knife-sharpening wheels. The aluminum handles do dull if the knives go thru the dishwasher, but who cares. The serrated tomato slicer has a black plastic handle - not an aluminum handle. Again, who cares. Keep up the good work, Rada.

My wife likes it
I grow my own tomatoes and my wife is in charge after that. She really likes this knife for slicing through those 'maters with ease. Of course a tomato must be peeled before eating and I'd <-.like to know how many others out there also peel their tomatoes.--

Extremely sharp Tomato Knife.
Low cost, high quality serrated tomato knife. Very thin slices are possible. It's a serrated blade, so if it ever needs sharpening it'll be cheaper to buy another... standard sharpening devices are largely worthless on serrated blades.

Excellent knife, just feels a little thin for a tomato knife.
I love this knife, I slice a lot of tomatoes at home for daily lunches and it does the job a lot better than my previous knife. I don't think this is much of a minus, but it just doesn't feel like a substantial knife. Maybe it's meant to be so light weight, I don't know.

great tomato knife
I only use this when canning tomatoes but gets used alot during this time. Canning tomatoes involves trimming sometimes very soft and sometimes cutting rot off tomatoes. This knife works great.

Rafa is still the great quality you expect when you order their products!
I like everything about this knife; cuts through tomatoes with ease and without squeezing the life out of the tomato! I totally recommend this and all Rada products to anyone looking for quality knife products; they are long lasting products!

Great knife
I like serrated knives because they slice tomato skin and similar vegetables where 'grip' is needed more efficiently. This one was a fair price and cuts well. Use it nearly every day and it's still sharp after several months
