UPDATE:After only 6 mths of having this grinder it(the salt grinder) just stopped working. Put in new batteries and still doesn’t work. I would like a replacement and would be happy to return item, but I can't find a way to get a hold of this store. I may check other sellers. I was hoping I wouldn't have to buy more so soon. Side note: I threw my other batteries out thinking that was the issue, I could have kept them, more money lost.My only question to my self is WHY??? Why didn't I buy these sooner. This set fits me perfectly! I can now season food in style!

Ok on a Vegan diet, one of the secrets to having real whole foods you enjoy eating, (not HAVE TO eat, actually enjoy eating) is fresh spices. This pepper mill grinds automatically as soon as you turn it over, it is so simple to add to brown rice or black beans and fresh ground is where the flavor is.Too soon to know how long it will last but I feel pretty good about so here is five stars for you. ..a nice product at a nice price.I might get another one for other spices too.PS. I just came in first place in the Masters division of a full marathon last week and I attribute it to my real food Vegan diet. (Not processed junk vegan) 5 years ago I was dying of heart disease on Keto diet. Inspired by Rich Roll saving his own damn self from heart disease and then going on to win Ultra events on plant fuel.So anything that enhances real organic food interests me.

So far I’ve had no issues with the replacement so my first set may have been a manufacturing defect. I’ll update if these stop working.I really liked these when I first bought them but conveniently as soon as they were out of the time frame to return one of them completely stopped working. I thought it was batteries at first but realized after I changed them that it just stopped working completely. Waste of money.

I first used a set of these at an in-laws house. So impressed I had to buy one myself. We’ve been using them for a few years. My mother recently broke her shoulder so I thought I would get her a set since she only can use one hand. So I went ahead and ordered four sets to give them as Christmas gifts to the kids as well. They last quite a long time before you have to replace the six batteries it takes to run them. Pros and cons: super easy to use and convenient , just flip them upside down. However if they fall over though they keep grinding away until you tip them back straight again. So if a cat knocks it over when you’re out of the room they’ll just keep running, lol. Aside from that, We just love these salt and pepper shakers.

I can't believe how ecstatic I am over simple salt and pepper dispensers! No twisting, no holding a button down, no turning a handle to mill. Just invert and voila! Freshly ground salt or pepper! I am thrilled not to have to make my hands suffer trying to get that awesome milled pepper onto my meal. One of the best investments I have made. Now to see how long battery life will last. We shall see. But, in the meantime, happy dispensing!

It was used not clean

Definitely the next generation vision where everything is automatic you just hold the grinder upside down on top of your food and you have freshly ground salt and pepper on top of your food. Everyone who saw this on my dining table was really impressed by the operation and definitely wanted one as the efforts are 0.Make sure to put good AAA batteries so that it can last for long and it only works well to grind dry ingredients. I used it to grind sea salt which is little wet in nature and it wasnt helpful but work like a charm for Pink/Himalayan Salt Crystals and Pepper Corns.

Excellent as gift to those with arthritis or mobility issues. Lightweight and simply turn upside-down. Just make sure you turn them back quickly! 👍👍👍

one of them didn't work and the battery inside it melted and I asked for a refund a couple of times and got no response
