God is faithful
Sometimes, many times, people perceive Christianity as this perfect "system" where everyone who has everything together, all the time, lives and breathes and professes their perfectness as something God has given them. The only truth in this statement is that God provides - and he does every single time. This book epitomizes this belief, that God provides - with the added benefit that the "characters" in this book are highly public, likable people that you can watch on TV for a good laugh. Jef & Jessica Robertson attempt to fill you in on the backstory to being the "perfect Christian family" that many see on TV. Essentially, this book does just that. They give us a backstory but while doing such, they provide us with a unalienable truth - that God loves, God forgives, and God provides.I would highly recommend this book to anyone who needs a reminder of God's unfailing faithfulness and also that even the most "perfect" family has it's struggles and that it's ok - as long we push to more faithful & devoted followers of Christ.

Love the show, not so much the book
I love the Duck Dynasty show. I also really enjoyed Phil’s book and gave it 5 stars. This book however was just poorly written. I felt like their story was somewhat interesting, and could have been told in a more captive way.I also had a hard time with how Jeb’s porn addiction was discussed in the book. They talk about how Jess discovered it and then the next subject is Jeb being molested. It was almost written as if that was an excuse but they don’t really discuss how he overcame the issue and he never really takes responsibility. I think it’s obvious that he did those things in order for their marriage to survive but it isn’t conveyed that way in the book and it just came off as distasteful. If you want to read a book by the Robertson’s, I would suggest Phil’s book. You can read the interesting stuff from this one online.

I love this wonderful book And I love you, Jessica and Jules Jeptha Robertson.
I love this wonderful book! Jessica and Jep have impressed me since the first time I saw them on tv. Their genuineness comes through so completely. I came back to read this wonderful book again after seeing their new television series and it makes the book even more special. Jessica and Jep have such a wonderful story! Their love is so strong and so real. I love that they have so much love that they chose to expand their family and adopt baby Gus. What a wonderful life they have given this precious angel! Thank you, Dear Lord, for this wonderful family. You have put them in such a wonderful position to teach and to share and to love mankind enough to make their love story known to the whole world. This book is an honest portrayal of their lives...both separately and together. I think that the things that can be learned from reading their story are many. God first in everything. I love the two of you, Jessica and Jep, and I love this book. Thank you for so freely sharing your story. May you have a hundred wonderful years together.

This book will encourage anyone who has made mistakes and wonders if it's possible to have a good marriage afterwards.
I loved loved this book. The story of Jep and Jessica Robertson is close to being like a great novel because of the things they went through. They are open and honest about the ups, downs and hassles of getting together and staying together. They also give more insight into who Phil an Miss Kay are as people and parents. This is a story that will encourage anyone who has made mistakes in their life and wonders if God will bless them in the future. I fell in love with this couple while reading this book. The way it's written, it pulls you into their story so you can feel the frustrations, love, hurts and passion of both of these people as they find each other and struggle through early marriage years. Thank you Jep and Jessica for writing this book.

It shows that they are people too just like you and I are
What a book should be. Open for all to see. I thank the both of them for being honest and open about their lives. It shows that they are people too just like you and I are, except they put it in a book for all to see while we keep all of our "secret stuff" inside and we are not "windows" so people can see in. Thank you Jep and Jess. God's blessings on you both as you continue the walk of faith until its time to go "home."

Love this family
Thank God for the Robertsons. Their books are an essential counterpoint to the Duck Dynasty television series. While the shows are entertainment with the smallest nod to their intelligence, integrity and generosity, the books reveal who they truly are. Having read almost all of them (I recently read Milton's Paradise Lost and Tolstoy's Anna Karenina, to keep things in perspective) I strongly recommend them. This family is wonderful.

Recommend reading to show how everyday people they are
Very honest book of how Jep and Jessica traveled a road of sin that many of us go down. Even so, redemption was waiting for both and because of that God cleared a path that brought the two of them together and you could say the rest is history...but for them even in marriage they faced the trials we all face as they learned how to give selflessly to each other and their children.

I love it!
I’m a huge Duck Dynasty fan and when I found out that they’re releasing their book I was really excited. I’m almost done with it. Their testimonies are amazing and I love every little detail. I wish we were close friends because we would have a lot in common, besides being a Christian. God bless the Robertson family. ❤️
