Scotch-Brite Bristle Discs - 3m s/b 4.5x5/8-11 grade80048011-24242

I bought these based on tutorial on preparing car engine deck for head gasket replacement. Lots of edges, but using a very light touch worked fine. I only lost a few spikes over two decks (V-8 engine). The gold 800 grit worked well for scrubbing the old gasket residue and leave a bright finish. It does take a bit of patience to get the last bits, though. I also bought the white 1200 grit since I had encountered these before, but did not use.Despite the cost, this is the right tool. Initial hand scrubbing with pads already on had made some progress, but takes too long to get completely clean.

These are excellent for removal of paint, rust and filler from metal. You should however, avoid contact with edges and corners as bristles may be ripped off.

It was to remove rust from steel it worked great I wish I had 10 more but not at 30 bucks each

The picture shows two and the description mentions disks, not disk. Total misrepresentation!!
