The press arrived jammed tighter than a guitarist during a botched solo and dirtier than a coal miner's handshake. As a special bonus, it featured a 'black residue' finish that made my product look like it had chimney-swept its way into my life. To top it off, the jack started leaking oil like it thought it had stumbled upon its own oil field or just hit an oil jackpot. Quality control must've been high on something other than standards to give this the green light. Built like a house of cards but priced like a penthouse. This press is a comedy of errors just waiting to ruin your project. Save your hard-earned money and look elsewhere.

This is a great press I bought used.The packing was horrible the shipping was very faat.Unfortunately,I'm missing two wing nuts as seen in the picture and I tried to replace them but was not able to be their made Heavy Duty and no one sells them..That's the only two reasons I rated them with three statrs.If the bolts weren't missing I'd rate them a 5 and disregard the packaging..Don't buy a used press because their abused.Buying a new one.This and my M8 Perfect Marriage .

The press works as advertised, however mine had a dark residue that continued to come off when wiped with a paper towel.Per the Instructions- I prepared the unit by inserting a portion of the top half in a few inches of boiling water for 5min. I then wiped the inside of the press with grape seed oil. This left a black residue on the paper towel even after wiping It several times with new paper towels. I tried boiled twice more without applying their suggested grape seed oil, thinking it could have been a reaction between the oil and aluminum. However the dark residue kept coming off. I’m not an expert on manufacturing but it seem to me their could’ve been some residue left behind from the machining process. Either way aluminum residue could leach into the material you are pressing which is a health hazard. Aside from this issue, I would’ve given the press at least four stars. I did reach out via email to the company but haven’t heard back yet.
