Magic Makers Standard Tough Pad - Black Performance Pad (14 x 18 Inches)

It's not a nice felt or velvet or anything (more of a wetsuit material), but cards spread across it fine.My problem with this pad is the smell. It stinks like horrible plasticky toxic fumes, and literally makes my eyes water.I've run the pad through a washing machine twice (on a hand wash cycle) and while the pad survived the wash in excellent condition, the stench remains.I cannot recommend this at all.

Nice close up pad. Has a weird smell that is gradually going away as it airs out. Should be fine in a few more days. Other than the smell, no complaints.

So far so good. The material works well for magic tricks. I bought it particularly to do a card trick wear I needed a tacky pad in order for the cards to be pulled out, and the trick has come off well.

Just what I needed for close up magic. I wanted a plain black pad so as not to distract from the magic. This pad is the perfect size. Good thick pad--not too thin like those gaming mats. Great service from Rock Ridge Sales: They shipped it the day I ordered it and I received it two days later. Packaged well. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I was looking forward to the tough pad however I received a large "mouse pad" instead.Busy so just kept it. Would like to try the tough pad someday. I expect it would travel better than a big mouse pad.Alan

Magic Makers is a good brand for a magician's performance (close up) pad. I use it for playing card magic.

I'm pretty sure the item I received isn't authentic. I got a smelly, cheap giant mouse pad with the worst crease all the way across it. There's no way it will be coming out and I wouldn't dare label this thing "tough". I guess the price was too good to be true.
