Opti-Lube Winter Formula Anti-Gel Diesel Fuel Additive: Gallon (1 Gallon (Treats 512 Gallons))

This works great in all our dodge diesels from our 2005 jeep liberty crd to our 2013 vw jetta tdi to our 2013 and 2003 Dodge trucks, also our son's 2006 gmc duramax. The winter formula takes more ounces per gallons of fuel than the summer, so it doesn't go as far but is what you want when temperatures plunge in the teens and below zero from December through March (This year we had to start in November because of weather). The XPD formula does fine for above 30 and has other advantages, so we like to use it for April, May, October, November. We save our winter formula leftover til the next year and it is always just as good, soon to be starting on xpd and still need to use up our summer formula when it gets warm enough but will probably go to XPD for spring, summer and fall. We started on this 2 1/2 years ago when my husband's cousin (a diesel mechanic for 30 years) recommended this.

Ive been using Opti-Lube products in my 2014 TDI Jetta for 2 years / 40k miles (97k Total on the car, just didnt learn about it right away) including their XPD product, Summer, and of course this Winter Formula. I have never had a gel issue, possibly the additives in my local fuel but Id like to think it helped when we had one night with -35F temperatures, car sat outside and with my engine block heater it fired without issues... Thats a true Anti-Gel test! I track my mileage via Fuelly and I may notice a slight improvement in MPG but its hard to distinguish with the range I get on a tank versus other varying conditions. Either way its a great product that I highly recommend.

Best anti gell on the market! And you can run #2 all winter so you don't loose your mileage running #1 like most other anti gell. Plus it ranks one of the top for lubrication. Its a win win kinda deal and then its cheaper per a gallon then the others. 6 years running this with out ever having a gelled up diesel unlike when using that garbage power service. Even howes would still let it gell up on the real cold days.

Prevented lift pump filters from gelling when temperature dropped to 3 degrees Fahrenheit overnight, engine ran much quieter too compared to when I used other brands. Highly recommend!

Best fuel additive I have used by far and best price I have found. This kept my diesel fuel from gelling when it got to -45°. Will be buying it here from now on!

I love optilube products, makes my fuel super thin, and cranks like it does when it's summer out. My only slight complaint is that it makes your truck kind of slow...

I like the xpd but got this for the sub zero Montana winter.
