Passed the salty water test
I tested in extremely salty water and let it sit for 4 days. I’m glad to report that there was no rust.I had bought some smaller ones in 5/32” (4mm = 0.157 inch) and they just didn’t have enough weight to them. Absolutely useless when trying to mix my nail polishes. Mind you, I was trying to mix tiny 5ml bottles (sample size), and they couldn’t even handle that. Imagine with a full sized bottle. These are the perfect size and weight. They fit in the sample bottles, as well as the full size. You put one ball and can feel it (and see it) mixing the contents absolutely no issue. I’ve only needed to put 2 in my denser formulas.

Rusty balls experiments are flawed.
Not sure where the "rusting" balls come from, you guys realize that sunlight accelerates and exaggerates rust right? You will not get any light hitting these inside a bottle of paint. I have had these in Army Painter paints since June of 2021 and they are still going strong...ZERO rust. I think people forget that different sellers list on the same item. Soo if you choose the cheapest seller, you may not be getting the same quality item as shown/listed.

Found It!
I've been searching for mixing balls for my hobby paints. A lot of duds, but these are wonderful!Once they were delivered, I started testing by putting them, along with other hopefuls, in a heavy salt water. Then they sat for a long time to see if they would rust. I had one of these balls, a 6mm ball, a 4mm ball, and another (control) in the water.Only the control ball rusted. The thing I like most about these 6.25mm balls is, they fit through the small opening at the top of my paint and they have a good weight. When I put a bottle with one of these in there onto my paint shaker, you can hear it working.Highly recommend and will be buying bunches more to have on hand.

No rust!
From the mixed reviews it seems like some rust and some don’t. I sat mine in some salt water for about a month (I forgot about them). When I finally got back to them, no rust. Spent the next 45 minutes putting them into tiny paint bottles.

Worth it.
Exactly what I needed. I don’t know why these aren’t in polish anymore. Fits standard bottle. I put in an old medicine container for ease.

Good Agitators
I got these for model paint bottles. They do what they are suppose to.

Just what I needed... but I need a different size...
This item is everything that I need but I purchased the incorrect size. I am still able to use these, and I will, I just need to get the correct size. I like everything about this purchase - it was what I asked for (stainless steel mixing balls) that were shipped and delivered in a timely manner.

Stainless steel bearings, I use them for mixing acrylic hobby paint
Only problem I could imagine having with them is rust, which is why I left a few in a dropper bottle full of water for a week to see if there would be an issue. No issue, work as acrylic paint agitators with no problem.
