Similac SimplySmart On The Go Powder Cap (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I bought 10 of these handy caps and couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase! I have twins, so not only is this super convenient but it's very fast and easy to prepare bottles using powder formula for two little ones. I prefer using these over the munchkin powder formula dispensers any day. I find it much easier to use and I manage to get ALL of the powder into the bottle without having to shake the dispenser to death to make sure it all comes out properly.Yes, this cap does increase the height of the bottle (just keep that in mind when you're thinking diaper bag space) Although it seems as though the cap makers did not leave enough space for the nipple, it does fully close squishing the nipple inwards....BUT, I have never had a problem with ANY leaking. Other powder containers are smaller and usually come in a three storage container. When not in use (however, these almost never get a break) I just usually stack these up to four caps (any higher and it starts looking like a mini Tower of Pisa)I'm a prepper and with two babies I have to stay four steps ahead. I keep my pre-measured formula in these caps up to 3 days (although it says you can safely keep it in there up to 5 days) on top of the Similac bottles. Whether I'm on the go, or not they're ready to use. Overall, I like these much better than the typical powder dispensers! These are a must and I love the convenience factor. I would definitely suggest these in a heartbeat!!!

the only downside is that it usually takes me two hands to unscrew the cap then pour the formula out. my son only eats 4 oz of milk at a time so if i want to make a cereal bottle i have room enough to add the cereal in with the powder formula so i don't have to measure that out later too.( not advising anyone else to do that im just saying what i do). but you have to be sure if you do to make sure the bottle its on is capable to flow cereal through it because i didn't check the first time.. duh. very useful if only for formula too it can hold 5 scoops maybe more. haven't had any leaking problems like other reviews but i do advise to clean it within a couple uses. its still powder so its not like the tiny bit of dust like powder thats gonna be left in there after you pour it out is gonna go bad before you use it again. considering you use it at least once per day. i use it 3 to 4 times per day and thoroughly clean the storage and all once per day. very nice product and i will buy again!

I wanted to love this cap five stars worth, but it falls just a bit short, landing in the four-star "I like it" category instead. The idea is five stars, but the actual execution...not so much. I like how much formula it holds and it's easy to dump all the formula out into the bottle, but the cap doesn't "lock down" tight enough onto the bottle itself--it's like they didn't leave enough room for the nipple (which fits up inside the cap) so that the nipple pushes up just enough so that it makes the cap pop off really easily. It definitely doesn't lock down as tight as the regular cap does. They need to redesign it so that the cap is just a bit tighter fit (which seems like it should be easy enough, since there looks to be enough room for more nipple). I'd still recommend this item, just know it's not perfect.

First off, I was actually a little excited about this product, I mean it's a convenient way to keep your formula right on top of the bottle, instead of having to hunt around in a baby bag for the container of formula. Now where it fails is in two areas, first off for almost $3, it's a tad bit expensive for essentially a glorified formula holder. Next is that it's also something I feel has to be cleaned each time the bottle is cleaned too, and here's why - this also works as a lid for the nipple, so after the baby's feeding you put this back on and...you soil the bottom of this container, so now you're having to wash another trinket for this convenience. I like the thought that went into this, but for the price and it being one extra thing to clean it's just ok in my book.Pros:Convenient way to keep powdered formula with bottleCons:Pricey for a glorified formula holderOne more thing to clean

This was a lifesaver for me. I had about 30 similac bottles (I kept getting them for free with the similac formula I was purchasing). These caps fit on the top of those bottles (the bottles were great for my twin boys, btw). Before venturing out of the house alone with the twins, I would set up their bottles with distilled water and put the dry formula in the caps. It made bottle time sooooo much easier, quicker, and less messy. It was one of my favorite mommy purchase to date! They only fit on the similac bottles, from my understanding FYI. When the baby began crying, I could have a bottle made in under 30 seconds!

I've tried two Similac bottles and added this "On the Go" cap to them and anytime I shake the bottle to mix in the formula, I end up with liquid escaping somehow. I think it's a flaw of how securely the nipple fits into the ring on the bottle, but the cap doesn't really keep it enclosed either. It's great to have something that's all-in-one, but I'm still on the lookout for a better brand.

This works perfectly for travel or just taking baby/child to babysitter/daycare. I bought the bottles and seen that there was a cap for easy access to formula. Now I dont have to pre-mix the bottle for the babysitter and worry about one going to waste. It's perfect for running errands when the little one demands to be fed. Just pop the top and pour! You can even, once done, twist off the formula holder so you wont have an extra tall bottle, just a cap! I can honestly say that my money was well spent on this product. The formula stays in the holder, it does what it's suppose to :)

the only problem is the bottles keep cracking on bottom, if similac would make the bottles in glass, tighten the seal a little for these (a little formula dust will leak, NOT A HUGE ISSUE, but leaks none the less, also leakage is significantly reduced when cereal is atop of formula) I would purchase (10) 4 ounce, (5) 8 ounce and 5 of these to aid in travel, for each child infant until weaning. LOVE LOVE LOVE the ease of cleaning, function of product etc for the simply smart system. BUT THE BOTTLES CRACK.
