2 stars. I ordered the red, got the blue.Good:* It's a lava lamp.* Blue wax color is deep and with a purple tint at the bottom. Gives a nice effect when viewed from top.* Wax isn't slow or lethargic. Needs 4 hours to start the first time, then a good shake to clear residue stuck to the sides then a settling and cooling again for another 6 hours before you start again.* Dimmer switch - comes with an UN-advertised dimmer that works and is decent quality. But read the bad for more info.Bad:* The pasting of the felt bottom is poor and was coming off when i un-boxed it. Need to do it yourself.* The liquid is not clear and thus dulls the effect of the light. Even on max brightness the lamp is dull making the dimmer inconsequential. You'll be running this lamp on full brightness all the time.
