Let me just start by saying you should give this a try. I had originally purchased the original from Indian for a total of about $550 after doing some looking I was blessed I found this total of $95 and immediately canceled my order with Indian 😂, the Indian mounting bracket had a total of 4 holes to bolt out down compared to 2 on this one, but let me tell you this is very comfortable and sturdy, I've ridden about 3k miles on it and it helps with my lower back when riding for long periods of time. I did put some folded over cotton gloves between the mounting bracket and where it touches the motorcycle, and it's helped not having any slack whatsoever and protecting the paint. Like most I shopped hard to find a suitable rider backrest for my '20 Indian Springfield. This backrest is very good quality for a very good price. Installation was a snap, fitment and appearance really nice. No, it isn't OEM but it isn't over $550 either. I like the easy insert on/off and the studs/materials match up well (95%) with my stock seat. Frankly I don't see it it when its at the rear of my rear and the support is just where I need it for an aggravating lower back issue .. nice and firm but not too hard. Go Grasshopper!

Bought backrest, but never used it I didn’t like the way it looked and fit so I returned it. It’s not bad and for the price you can’t beat it. Even though I didn’t care for it I would recommend it to anyone who wants an inexpensive back rest.

Does everything you'd want for half the price. This is my second Grasshopper. And the quality of the first dictated that I buy a second one.

GH rider back rests are the best. Great value, and easy install. This is my 3rd one, 2 others were for Harleys, this one for my new Indian.

This looks good on the bike and is comfortable. It’s not adjustable but I don’t think I would adjust it anyways.

It seemed like it was very plush but the foam seems to not hold shape when I lean back into it. Instructions were very simple and was easy to install.
