gunBlocker AR-15 Gun Lock

Just don't put the key on your keychain and sit in them.the keys are a bit fragile. I broke my key on an out of state shooting event. I took it to a semi pro locksmith and he said he couldn't pick the lock. No worries because I had a spare key (90 miles away:)This is a great lock when your rifle is in the trunk of your car or in storage. Every ar15 should come with one of these. I would like to see a tie down lanyard loop where it could be tethered for extra security. If the rifle is being used for self defense, it is a bit slow to unlock it but for protection against kids and dirt bag thieves it is the absolute best of its type on the market. When my rifle leaves my house it has one of these on it.

This does seem to secure the gun well. I am just not sure if having it jammed in there with the bolt back is going to be good for my gun long term or not. I was also disappointed with the keying. I bought two of these and both had the same key. I would think that I would have received different keying on them. I feel like this makes things just a little less secure when both can be operated with the same key.

I love this thing. I feel so much safer and in control knowing this is in my mag well. It can be tricky to get out, need to push the mag release, turn the key and extract the lock all at the same time. Not hard just a timing thing. And I know it is a lock and people have complained about one key fits all, but I look at it this way, this is the last line of defense to prevent someone from accessing my AR. My AR is also locked in a gun bag and then inside a safe. This gun lock really is to keep kids out who are not walking around with their own AR and lock already. Plus on the range? I love knowing that it is secure and safe to all but the dedicated thief.

If you need a good mag-well lock, this one is probably one of the best you can buy. The price is good, the product is well constructed. The lock is a pick-resistant dimple lock, which would confuse most average lock-pickers. It not only locks out the mag well but the chamber as well. If quick-access to the firearm is needed, this is a less-than-ideal lock. It can take a few seconds to lock the bolt back again, insert and turn the key, and trigger the magazine release. However, for safe storage around children, or during transportation, this lock is perfect.

Lockpicking Lawyer dispenses with this in about 30 seconds, but states it's better than most. Doesn't prevent thieves from taking your rifle home to get rid of the lock, but does provide another layer of protection while in your possession. Worth the buy to have a zero profile lock for transport, extra security, etc. At the very least, a thief can't easily turn your weapon against you in your own home.

Out of all the accessories I got for my AR15, this one gives me the peace of mind knowing that I'm the only one who could ever use it. I love the fact that it locks the gun from inside. I wish they'd make more locks like this one for more guns. I hate the lock that came w/ my Glock and would appreciate if GunBlocker made something similar to this for the Glock and/or shotguns in the future. The lock they make for the Glock now is different than how this lock works.

Best damn gun lockout device I've ever used!. Blocks and locks the chamber preventing ammunition from being loaded. I highly recommend this!!!

This is by far the BEST gun lock out there, has a lock that cant be easily bypassed, made from a strong glass reinforced plastic that will by far slow down anyone who may come in contact with the weapon, and CERTAINLY would stop children! Need to make an NYSAFE version however!!!
