Fondarific Cherry Fondant, 2-Pounds

I was sort of disappointed. It's more of a saturated, pinkish red than vivid red. Otherwise, same great Fondarific workability...it helped me get my red dump truck cake made, and it really turned out looking just fine. I honestly can't be too displeased with it because even my ladybug cake looked great and tasted good too. I think the intensity of the cherry smell is a little ick, but it fades once it's out of the bag and in a thin layer on your cake. And no one actually eats fondant anyway, so don't worry about the flavor. If a piece of fondant ends up in your mouth, it tastes like a cherry chewy candy. Not terrible, just not MY taste...

It was my first fondant experience and I am not convinced... It was really hard to work with but since I felt that the tast was to artificial I wanted a thin layer which was impossible to achieve. So I ended up with a thick layer of fondant that cracked all over. But after a lot of trying I was able to make it look ok. Hope I have better luck next time... The worst off all for me is that is not red, it was a really sad pink! For that quality of color I should have mixed it myself in a white one.

The red cherry fondant has the taste and texture of airheads candy; I like airheads candy. It was really easy to work with, soft and pliable without being sticky. I've gotten Fondarific several times and have liked it each time. The cherry flavor was fun. Not something I'd use for an elegant wedding cake, but fun for a kid's birthday cake. [...]

The color of this is not a true red - I wanted to use it for a lady bug themed cake, and color was not what I was looking for.

This fondant was more pink than red, I had to spend more $$$ and by Satin ice instead due to needing red fondant

This fondant was very easy to use, but moreover, the cherry flavor was awesome. My kids said it tasted like Starburst candies, unlike most plain fondant, that people don't even want to eat.

easy to work with and very forgiving. don't even think about the wilton stuff which tastes horrendous. way better than satin ice as well.

Love it great product

I bought this on the premise of it being a high quality fondant that is easy to work with, unfortunately there is one major problem - it is not red. Despite the packaging describing this as red the colour is a more of pinky salmon colour. Left with no option but to waste £20 of fondant I attempted to colour it but by the time I got it anywhere near red the consistency was gone. Shame as it tasted lovely but useless for the red cake I was making. Anyone making a cake of a salmon or slightly ill flamingo then this is the fondant for you!
