My biological dad gave me this book and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the story was. The author did a good job in writing and telling his true story of being adrift at sea for 76 days. I like the story about the fish bothering him in his raft and also about him getting out of his sinking boat and his thoughts and struggles through the experience of losing his boat and then having to live on a raft. It was a good book.

I had been wanting to read this book for awhile and man, it didn't disappoint. It's a fantastic tale of one man's survival at sea for seventy- six days with close to nothing and no one but himself and his wits to make it. I don't want to give anything away, but he makes it. What I really loved were his tales of ingenuity and his feelings of interconnectedness with the world around him, even when the odds were against him. I also loved the author's illustrations, which go a long way toward explaining some of his homemade contraptions. A remarkable book and number 67 on National Geographic's 100 Greatest Adventure Books of All Time.

Just a sensational book. I still think about his adventures. Highly recommend

This is, very simply, a great story of survival, well told. How far in did it become a page turner? One page. It's that good.And, I have had the honor of meeting Steve Callahan, but that was before he shipwrecked along the coast of Europe.The ending is priceless.

This used book was delivered earlier than expected and was exactly what I expected. It was a gift.
