Worked great in the washer for sheets
Used this to dye some sheets so could easily tell different family members' sheets apart in the laundry, as didn't have the foresight to buy different colors in the first place. Looked up the instructions online and followed them, and it worked just fine. My only concern was that the listing doesn't tell you that you're also supposed to have some sort of color fixative from the same company as the final step in the dying process for cotton blend fabrics, so I hadn't order that in advance, and just skipped that part. But the color survived the first post-dye washing without fading, so I guess that step may not be critical, or it may fade gradually over time. So make sure you get the fixative if keeping the dyed color true is important to you.

Nice green!
The process to dye clothes is pretty easy. It's also easy to regulate how "green" you would like. Don't forget to use the ColorStay Fixative to keep the color from washing out.

STOP... You must buy Rit Dye Fixative with this!!!
I was all set to dye my pillow case in front loader washer and I was excited then I watched a video on Rit Dye and was instructed to use the fixative to set the dye I researched more and found that Soda Ash would work and I have some but decided to follow the directions from RIT. Disappointing but I can wait for the fixative to come then get dying...

Did a pretty good job on denim
I prefer dark-wash jeans, and my favorite pairs were getting a little faded. Tried the Navy Blue Rit Dye Liquid and it did the trick. It's a little tricky to keep the temperature up if you're not using a giant pot on your stove, but it left no stains in my sink and after one wash, my jeans look newer. I'll definitely be doing this every few years now to bring my denim back to life.

Petal pink, my favorite color
I used 2 bottles of petal pink on a medium sized load in my washing machine. I dyed 15 handkerchiefs, and three shirts. Turned out a beautiful color. I used the dye fix stuff too. After a couple of uses and washings the dye has faded considerably. Handkerchiefs are still a pretty pink color, just a whole lot paler than when first dyed.I’m gonna get some denim blue and do my jeans next. Hope they turn out a nice blue Jean color.🤞🏻

Nothin' but a good dye
I dyed some sisal for a cat scratching post project for my living room. Turned out great. Be sure and follow the directions and if you're dying a lot of stuff like me; make sure you have a big enough container. If I had to do it over again, I'd use my sink. The only thing I wish is that they would be clear about environmental impact of disposal, etc.

Perfect yellow and will fade well too
I longer look good in white. I’m also a mad scientist trying all kinds of things including baked goods. So yellow is my new color…faded yellow even better. Yaye

be warned if using for shoe dyeing
after watching Rits own youtube videos on dyeing shoes (you can immerse in hot water and dye but this stains the soles-white in my case, like trainer soles) or you can 'brush' the dye on-(just for info, I am very experienced at most dyeing techniques from using machine dyes-always have perfect results-dont follow Dylons instructions btw to eco dyeing and proper fabric dyeing but all these techniques do not dye synthetic materials) so I wanted to dye a pale salmon coloured slip on synthetic textile trainer, white soles-followed the instructions to the letter and to say it was underwhelming was an understatement-so 2nd attempt used almost neat dye on the shoes(with a tiny bit of the hot water)-when they dried the dye was like a powdered dust on top, and when wet the dye came off on your feet (Rit do mention in their info you will also need to waterproof any fabric shoe!!! so thats useful then) I feel this was an utter waste of money

Easy to use and effective
Used to die a Hugo boss shirt that had discoloured in the wash. Even after I’d bleached the shirt this worked giving a nice solid colour

Do not recommend
Not straight forward to use. After use, dye ran out of garment and the colour was awful....had to redeem with Dylon

As expected
Came quickly, as expected

Dyed everything but the garment it was meant to
Dye did not set into fabric, simply rubbed off onto anything it touched and stained anything but the garment it was supposed to. I now have a permanent stain on my carpet because of this dye.
