The set screw is also easy enough to hide on the backside
I disagree with others who feel this doesn't fit right. It fits perfectly on my 1" rod. I do see that it would fit loosely on the smaller end of a telescoping 1" rod, which may be the issue some are having, but even that is not enough to tell the difference from the ground. The set screw is also easy enough to hide on the backside.

Don't Buy
this is mislabeled, actual measurement is 1 3/8 inches, it does not fit on a 1 inch curtain rod, the shipping at $7.50 is way overpriced. It does not screw on, there is a side screw to tighten, which leaves a lopsided fit (even if it wasn't much bigger than 1 inch so it doesn't even fit in the first place).
