Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence 85 g Sunscreen SPF 50 + / PA ++++【Large capacity】Set of 2

I originally purchased this in Japan years ago and have yet to find a comparable product here in the US (the glossier sunscreen comes close). I do not read Japanese so I cannot read the label to see if this is legit. It was my understanding this product could not be sold in the US. Saw some of the reviews said this had a close expiration date but I purchased in feb 2023 and expiration is Jan 2024.The absorbency and texture of this is amazing. This does have a slight alcohol odor like other reviews said, which I do not remember being an issue when I purchased it in Japan.

I try to aim for SPF 50 or higher for a daily face sunscreen, and this was in the ball park. I don’t have the means to scientifically confirm that this works for daily sun protection, but I will use it anyway! Items not the most moisturizing, so you might want to use it underneath a moisturizer. I apply a dime sized amount of this stuff onto my face daily before moisturizer. It leaves a greasy looking shine on your face which is not the most desirable but a little powder can help.

No white cast at all. I will say I do like the texture and how light-weight it is but it does have a strong alcohol scent which I don’t really mind. That being said it did leave my face a weird silicone feel but after putting moisturizer it didn’t bother me. I do like it and plan on finishing both bottles but would most likely not repurchase.

I am one of those dudes, who hates lotions, sunscreen, anything slimy. Believe me when I say, I have tried all sorts of things and decided that I’d rather have skin cancer than wear sun protection… finally found this product on the recommendation of a coworker, and it’s great. That is a high compliment coming from someone like me. Not greasy at all, I actually can wear it daily and can’t even remember that I put it on after the first 10 minutes. Give it a try, it’s worth it.

It is true that I am concerned about an ingredient. Beyond that, it's good for socializing, because when it dries, it doesn't show.It has an obvious perfume, it would be good if you didn't have perfume and avoid those chemicals that can be harmful.

Price is a little high for anything but my face and like other reviewers I notice a slight alcohol scent, but I’ve never had a sunblock apply so invisibly and undetectably on my skin. Feels great. No white cast, no grease. After you rub it in a bit you can’t even tell it’s there. Wish we could get this sunblock in the states with a low enough price for full-body application.

I got a skin evaluation as part of a consult appointment with an esthetician. For my age group, was in the 90-something-th percentile for avoiding sun damage. I consider this to be a holy grail product in my line up. Through extended periods of outdoor athletic effort, it has protected my skin. It is lightweight enough for combination skin in humid environments but moisturizing enough to be used standalone for at least three seasons. (I use it with another heavyweight moisturizer in winter.)

Pros:Super lightweight, no white cast, not greasy, feels like a hydrating serum.Cons:Smells strongly of alcohol until dry.I squeezed some product on my hands rubbed them together and patted my face. The the smell of alcohol actually took my breath away. It was like smelling a bottle of rubbing alcohol, no joke! I must be getting used to it now since it isn't as overwhelming as it was.The alcohol is offset by moisturizers and it does make my skin feel great without drying or making my skin greasy. I can see myself using this everyday even though it's a little stinky.

This SPF is my holy grail now. I’ve seen great results, it’s the only one I use now and thanks to Amazon JP I get in a couple of days.
