Doctoral Graduation Tam Unisex Black Velvet 6-Sided Satin Silk Band Grad Days

Only 2 cents to throw in is that the back is velcro and not elastic, so any of my ladies who are looking out for grad day hairstyles, beware of your hair getting caught in the velcro!

Would barely manage to Velcro on my head. I just left it undone, but if you are using it for actual graduation, you may not want to pick this if your head isn’t tiny. Idk how to explain my head size to strangers, but normally a baseball cap/dad cap fits me just fine and even needs to be tightened some, so I was surprised to see this not fit. I used this for my Halloween Costume as the Guide from “What We Do in the Shadows” so it was perfect for that, but if it was for a real graduation I would have given it one star. All the other reviewers are correct and there is no place to attach a tassel. Good for Halloween! Not good for real pomp and circumstance.

Bought this and had a button sewn on the top--a fraction of the cost for most all other tams. Quality seems good enough to wear twice a year for a quite a long time.

The tam fit well and was the same as what I would have purchased through my school at a great price!

If you have a large head, this may not work well for you. I was able to do a small alteration, removing the velcro and sewing the band closed which worked for a 7 1/2 inch hat size. You will also need to add a button or find some other way (sewing, safety pin) to attach the tassel. It looked well for the commencement.

Very limited adjustability

This item was much smaller than I was expecting. It has a Velcro band and the overall impression that it is cheap. I am looking for another option.
