So far, so good
I recently bought my first new toilet seat. Very recently. Like a couple of months ago. I thought wood was the nicer option. I mean, who opts for plastic fixtures? Right? Plastic was what I'd had in all of the places I rented. Now, I own my place, and wood was going to be an upgrade, right?Wrong. I wish I had known.First off, I live with my husband and teenaged son, so it's a given that I am the only one who ever cleans the toilet. I've asked; they've said they would, but it is not even on their radar. The wood seat started discoloring within a week, and there was absolutely no undoing it. Bleach wrecked the finish. I sanitized pretty much every day (always have, because, eww), but the thing looked like carnage. Ordering a new seat online was a bit stressful, because who knows what kind of quality you're going to get.I ordered this one after seriously considering much less expensive models. It has a nice finish, quick release hinges, and a sturdy feel. It installed over my bidet adapter (I may have to order thicker bumpers, because the ones it came with are just a little too stubby to make contact with the rim before someone sits down). All things considered, I am happier than I was with the wood, but I'm not certain that this one was the best buy. Still, it cleans up nicely and seems durable.

Glad I got it
One of the plastic hinges on my $6 wooden toilet seat broke, a seat that came with my condo and is literally the cheapest one at Home Depot. So I went to Home Depot and Lowes to see what is the latest and greatest in toilet seat technology. I didn't know they made removable seats.Since I have around a $100 gift cert credit with Amazon I figured to use some of that balance on a new seat.I've had the seat for 3 weeks and am happy with the seat. It is in my main bathroom.Pros:Plastic so much easier to clean then the wooden seat.Very easy to install, my first ever toilet seat installation. Really not much to it, I imagine most seats are simple. I even tightened the screws with my hands since I didn't have the right tool.Removable for easy cleaning. Though I haven't removed it much yet.Cons:The seat is a little smaller then the one I replaced. On the one I replace the seat is bigger then the cover. On this one the cover completely covers the seat, which makes for a nicer appearance but for a slightly smaller sitting area. After using a wooden seat for all these years it has a different feel to it.The cover has a lip all around it that when you lean back you can feel the top of the cover pressing against your back. But you really have a lean back to feel it. My other seat had a totally flat bottom cover.Overall:Happy with the purchase but it is a more expensive seat then most, which I wouldn't have purchased if not for my Amazon credit balance. But am happy I did.4 stars b/c nothing is perfect.

Good, economical choice for a toilet seat...glad I bought these.
Four stars because the mounting bolts were slightly less than six inches apart and didn't exactly match up with the holes on either of the toilets on which I installed them. It causes the seat to sit close to, but not quite perfectly straight on the bowl. I didn't point it out to any one and no one has mentioned it, so it's not too noticeable and doesn't affect the use or operation at all.I love the Whisper-close feature (or whatever it was called) that lowers the seat and lid slowly. No slamming down and waking anyone up or potentially causing harm if you have any little ones around your house. The entire seat and lid also pop off in one piece and without tools to clean completely around the mounts, but I could see that feature wearing out if it's used too much. The plastic gripper 'fingers' that grip the head of the mounting bolts could wear out and lose their initially strong holding power. So, I would recommend not making use of that feature any more than absolutely necessary, though it does work well out of the box.Lightweight without feeling cheap, solid plastic, easy installation, easy to clean, and plenty strong to support my 215 pounds without any issues. Nice, comfortable curve to the seat too, noticeably more comfortable and easier on the thighs and butt than the old, worn-out seats they replaced.Good purchase overall, glad I bought these, and they should serve their purpose well for years to come.

Faulty Toilet Seat - Impossible to mount straight on the bowl
There is no way to mount the toilet seat straight. It sits to one side of the bowl. I followed the instructions to a T. After I realized it was not straight on the bowl, I tried everything to line it up properly with no success. I would like a new one sent to me before I return this one because I had to cut my original old one off and if I sent this faulty one back, I would be left without a toilet set until a replacement arrives in probably a month or two.

Comodo 😅
Si es un poquito complicado instalarlo si no tienes las herramientas necesarias, pero una vez hecho es perfecto!!

I have a Mayfair seat and I've been happy with it so I ordered this
I have a Mayfair seat and I've been happy with it so I ordered this. A beamis one arrived. Which is fine but not what I ordered. I know they are all owned by the same company but it's like buying a Lexus and getting a Toyota. Regardless, the seat is decent so I'll probably keep it.

Good quality other than the hinge and hinge brackets/bolts
Good quality other than the hinge and hinge brackets/bolts. Could have been a bit better quality for easy removal over long period. These simple plastic hinges will wear out pretty fast. Delivery was fast.
