This is used with the heavy blade to cut thick plastic circles from 12mil presentation binding covers. The stock blade probably would have worked out but the heavy blade is in there and I'm not going to stop things to test until it wears out. Which is looking like it will be a very long time. It's a well made blade. Everything about this cutter is adjustable and meets all of my needs, except if they were to make a version that could cut 40cm and 50cm diameter circles. I expect that this will pay for it's self soon. Smooth cuts in one pass with little to no effort and the edges are crisp. I have the pin set up to poke a small hole in the middle which is used for centering further in the rest of the process of what I do with the circles. If I didn't want the center marked I could put a little tape and raise the pin up to just hold to the tape layer. It is adjustable and accurate enough for that. The blade is set so it practically doesn't touch the cutting mat. I think the wide flat bottom is what makes it possible to do fine cutting like this. I did cut deep into the cutting mat when I didn't know what I was doing and set the blade to deep. The heavy duty blade can cut through self healing mats pretty easily. If measured using the material thickness it doesn't damage anything. A rotary blade probably cuts deep into the mat now the cutter is set up correctly.It does take a few minutes to setup. If you need to work quickly with changing between multiple sizes or thickness. It might be worth getting a couple. Or doing all you can in a batch before changing for the next size or thickness.My only comment is that I would like to have a cover tray for the bottom the cutter can sit in when it's not in use on the work table that protects the blade and pin. I can abd will make one easy enough, so it's not a problem, just an observation after using it for awhile now. Well other improvement is if the pin lock was easier to reach. Right now it requires a short screw driver, like no longer than a pinkie, or removing the center handle holder. Which isn't too difficult, but I don't see why the locking screw couldn't be placed in an easier to reach place. Regardless I love this cutter and I am very happy I went for this one instead of the cheaper ones for what I am doing.

It is reasonably easy to use, and strong, though a bit of practice is needed. Setting the diameter is fairly straightforward, but I would have liked a more precise scale to set the mark to. This is the best circle-cutter I have used, and it's disappointing that it seems not to be stocked by anyone in the UK.

Après l'avoir pris en main et en avoir essayé d'autres peu convaincants, je suis très satisfaite de mon achat et le recommande. Il semble un peu cher mais si vous en achetez plusieurs autres à des prix bas, à la fin à la fin ç'est plus plus onéreux et vous n’êtes pas satisfait.
