How to Steal a Thief: Unholy Trifecta, Book 2

This book follows the master thief Ivan as he meets and woos Aiden, a doctor about to enter residency. Ivan is a great character, insane, impulsive, kind and overprotective. It was fun to see his overwhelmed and sometimes disbelieving reaction to falling for Aiden. Aiden who is accepting of Ivans criminal lifestyle. The two men fit together like puzzle pieces. There were plenty of interactions with Ivans family of choice, and I'm now eager to see the next book.

So, so, so, SO GOOD! I really love this author's mind! They come up with such interesting characters, situations, and the world building is just awesome! (I'm using too many exclamation points, but that's just how good the books are!) I was eagerly awaiting this 2nd book in this series and loved it even more than the 1st one. All the wonderful characters are back and we get to learn more about the intriguing thief Ivan and follow along on another complicated heist where the bad guys are the good guys (one of my favorite tropes and kinda reminds me of the TV show Leverage in a loose-ish way)Now I'm looking forward even more to the 3rd book because I want to learn everything about Kyou and the guy he's cyber-stalking.... I'm especially hoping that the guys curse-out and put the fear of them hurting him badly into the mystery guy because we see at the end of the book that he's been stressing out Kyou and making him run his health down trying to take care of him and that makes me want to see him get a beat down.And just to let everyone know, I first read these books on KindleUnlimited, but had to purchase them for myself once I read this 2nd book - I already fondly recalled the first one and with how engaging this one was, I know I'll be rereading this series again and again (the way I judge a good book)

I absolutely love AJ Sherwood’s books and this one is no exception. The characters are quirky and diverse and I am invested in all of them. I love the idea of taking myths off the internet and exploring just how the situation would actually play out. This one about the thief breaking into an apartment and feeling bad that the resident has so little that he goes out and buys him a bunch of stuff was a lot of fun to see play through. Looking forward to the next book but a little sad it’s the last one planned for the series.

Such a fun series - great characters, rock solid found family, fun plots. Ivan is a big overgrown Labrador puppy of a professional thief and always sharp, very funny, and deeply loving. So much fun to see him fall in love. Remi remains the best ever. You definitely need to read these in order, and read them you should.

It was really sweet to see Ivan fall in love. With his portrayal of not taking things seriously, it was really nice to see how serious and responsible he was acting towards the relationship with Aiden. I loved his vulnerability and Aiden's strength. Remi was a delight as usual and I loved that Kyou, Carter, and Ari still had big parts in the book as well. Please let Kyou's book be next. I would love to take a peek inside his head. This was a great book and I definitely recommend it.

Loved this! Ivan was my favorite support character from the first one and he did NOT disappoint. Such a sweet, amazing story with all that Ivan craziness we came to expect from assassin. Can't wait for the next!!!Also, poor kyou. He is always getting compared to/ described as moldy bread.

If the Unholy Trifecta exploded into a huge series of 100 books i would buy and read them all.I am in love with the family that is being created! AJ Sherwood's characters are so alive it is easy to picture everyone while I am reading. I am so delighted this 2nd book in the trilogy is just as yummy as the first.I am glad I bought the whole series. Now I can read the 3rd book.

Another outstanding book from this author! These guys just make a great unconventional family and to see Adien accept them for just them was truly heartwarming, and Ivan with his dry sense of humor and it is what it is attitude, both loveable and shakeable. These two were a great match and Adien was whom Ivan needed to balance out his craziness, and really all of them, the doctor will make sure they are all taken care of.

I literally finished book 1 and came straight to book 2. Ivan has a job to steal a very expensive stamp, following the trail on this takes him to Aiden and his sparse apartment Ivan seeing this is drawn to Aiden and his struggles with him family!I love Aiden’s weakness for a bad boy and Ivan is salty and sharp and has had a bad upbringing with his family so he and Aiden match up in that way! We see more of our little family and it’s truly entertaining seeing Ivan being such a sweetheart with Aiden and not feeling worthy a wonderful story and a nice bit of heat

I thought Ari and Carter’s book was great, but Ivan has stomped all over it with his story, I loved it. They say opposites attract and when you look at Ivan and Aiden you can see why. Kyou’s is bound to be interesting to say the least, off to read it. Thanks for a great read

In the interest of full disclosure, I was a Beta reader for this book. So, I am obviously a huge AJ's fun and love all of her books. This book is great. Read How to Shield an Assassin first, because Thief is not a stand-alone. It is a second book of three. The blurb should give you pretty good idea what this book is about. It is funny and easy-going. As with all of AJ's books there is little angst. It is a light, happy, fun and sexy read.

I love How To Shield An Assassin and so have been eagerly awaiting this next book in the series. It doesn't disappoint! Now looking forward to Kyou's story in the upcoming third book, How To Hack A Hacker.

I loved this sequel! Ivan & Aiden are perfect together & I thought Aiden certainly fitted in with the gang beautifully. Another outstanding piece of work from Ms Sherwood Xx
