Great tool!
I have several Victorinox products, mostly SAKs. They are a great buy - worth every nickle of their price. I have two SAK for EDC (depending on where I'm going, work or play). I really like this multi-tool as a great addition to my EDC; carry it whenever I'm likely to need an extra capability that the regular SAKs don't have. It is a great size, not huge, does not get in the way while carrying. REALLY like that you have access to the tools without opening the whole tool wide open - that's been one of the big annoyances of other similar tools I've used. I like the layout and tools on this tool better than the other tools as well (eg leatherman), and also really like the locks, every easy to use. My fav multi tool, recommended.

Typical Victorinox quality
It's made better than any multitool out there. Leatherman doesn't even come close. Over the years Leatherman has become a very cheap low quality control company. This is not the case with Victorinox. I owned this model right after it came out, and ended up trading it. After many years, and many Leathermans, I can honestly say this new one is just as tight and precise as my other one I had years ago. The lock up of the tools and pliers themselves reeks of quality. You can't get any better in a multitool, seriously.

A couple manufacturing errors
This would be a great product except for a couple manufacturing errors. When closed the two sides don't line up exactly, this really can be forgiven because the little offset won't effect any performance or longevity. The second error was what made me return this product twice before deciding to purchase something else. The knife will hit the piece of metal it sits next to when closed. After a couple weeks of use there was a clear mark on the blade which showed the wear marks. To me this is a big deal because over time the blade will wear down to an unusable state, for what this costs it is unacceptable. Fix this and this multitool would be the best I've ever used

Wow! Um.. Heck yeah you should buy this!
They actually put the bluing in the metal. The black color is in the metal, meaning if you scratch this, you don't see chrome, you'll see more beautiful black metal. Also, all the tools are great. Perfect layout. This is my second spirit. Still using the other one, but I saw you could get this in black and I was like "OMG... I have to have this thing cuz I love the other one SO much, but if I knew it came in black... well I'm getting it!" But seriously, the Victorinox Swiss steel is far superior to other brands. No joke. I really use these things, and I mean REALLY use them. And this steel is very durable. I also have leathermans, and I have switched because I've had several failures on certain models. Leatherman is still great, in fact I still carry the Rebar on occasion (my favorite model), and the ST300 as a kit knife. Got fed up with the leatherman, even though that was my EDC MT for over a decade. Now my EDC's are all Victorinox. They won my heart with their engineering, quality steel, and overall functionality. If you had a knock off model as a kid, trust me, buy a real one and give that baby a try. You'll never go back.
