Works fine with 4 bikes
I bought the Fullswing from Yakima because my rear door swings away and not up like standard SUVs. Here are my thoughts:Pros:-Simple to install (it is heavy but easy to install)-Speedknob is great. Takes only a couple minutes to install and remove. Please note that the wedge piece that goes into the hitch can completely unscrew from speedknob when you un-hitch the rack. Just screw it back on.-Does fit 4 bikes ( full size mtb, step thru womens bike, and 2 kids bike (20 and 16 inch). Im sure you can rack up 4 full size bikes but you need to pay attention to the angle of the pedals and handlebars but it can work. Dont expect to have complete separation from each bike, your bikes will rub together.-Full swing option is great and access the back of your car easily-Nice built in cable lock. Its nice to have but if you have very expensive bikes, use a better lock.-Zip strips are easy to useCons:-Heavy - Yakima says its 75 lbs. Wish it was lighter but its very solid and well built. I take mine off after each biking trip so it gets tedious but I have to because it messes with my reverse sensors. But I can do it myself in a few minutes.-The loading arms can be a bit longer to allow for extra space between each bike. If you are concerned about rubbing or scratches, cover each point with foam or cloth material. So far Ive used this on 3 biking trips and its been great. Some bikes do require top tube bars to it fits on the bike rack such as step thru or kids bikes. Thanks and get out there and have fun!

Best looking and functioning rack ever - somewhat heavy and pricey, but well worth it!
This is really a well engineered and great looking rack. They thought of everything. Almost no assembly and simple to use levers for actuating various features. The double articulating swing arm works with every vehicle I have tried it on. The arm swings the bikes away from the back of the vehicle and just when you think the bike tires are going to hit the vehicle, you simple pivot the rack up to 90 degrees to further swing them away....really a neat deal. The somewhat robust rack arms and locks will not fit every bike frame. Not sure what rack could to be honest. I mount 4 bikes on the rack, a large frame, midsize frame and two kids bikes. I ended up using some home depot bungees in place of the built-in bike rack arm locks. The supplied interior cable lock worked fine with everything. I have used this unit on both rented Cruise America Class C RV's, a minivan (not a Sienna), and small sport utility vehicle. The only issue you will face is the 45 pound weight may be tough for the ladies to hoist into the receiver hitch without some assistance. Once in place you cannot ask for an easier to use rack. The unit looks great, ergonomically the best looking rack you could put on the back of a car. One additional challenge now is all my family & friends want to borrow it and I am afraid they will scratch it!

Great product, great customer support
One bolt, and it was ready use!I've had three bikes on this rack, and it was rock solid. The mounting points are adjustable, so no one has to remove their bags or other gear before we load up. The Zipstrips hold the bikes so solidly that we only use bungee cords when traveling long distances to trail heads. Yakima was kind enough to include a few extra Zipstrips, just in case. Nice touch.I read some reviews that questioned the locking system into the hitch receiver: it works great. It uses a wedge to lock the rack into the receiver. A reasonable person with a working knowledge of how the physical world operates should have no problem securing this rack to their vehicle. If the wedge gets stuck in place when you try to remove the rack from your receiver, I suggest bumping the red locking knob with the pad of your palm after you've turned the knob counter-clockwise a few times -- that shoves the wedge back, so the rack can slide out.Yes, it's a heavy rack. That's why it's "rock solid" and durable. Frankly, with the swing feature, I had no reason to remove it from my vehicle all Summer. Life is full of compromises. If you want the weight of plastic and aluminum, you'll have to accept the compliance and tensile strength of plastic and aluminum. I prefer "rock solid" when I'm transporting over $1500 worth of equipment. The integrated cable locking system is suitable for a quick trip into a convenience store to grab ice and Gatorade. It's fast, convenient, and reasonably sturdy. It's not intended to secure your valuable bikes overnight in a hotel parking lot.I phoned Yakima customer service more out of orneriness than a genuine issue. It was a slow Friday afternoon at work. I won't tell you the pretext I used, because I don't want to instigate a flood of calls looking for "freebies." But, the woman at Yakima was cheerful, sweet, and I felt bad for pulling her leg and pretending to be an unhappy customer. After I told her the real reason I phoned -- that I was just genuinely blown away by the quality of my new FullSwing -- she sent me a small package with a few goodies inside. Who does that? She even took something off of her desk to send me... something they don't offer anymore! When the employees have fun at their jobs, that says something to this ornery cuss. I'm happy to have given my hard-earned cash to an American company that treats its employees right.
