I ordered this retractable leash for my 17 pound pocket beagle on 12/16/2022 thinking it would be a good lead for her. It leash lasted until 6/7/2023 when it broke. The metal clip that you hook to the collar broke. The spring even came out of it. Will be contacting the company because it was for a dog of 110 pounds and it broke from a 17 pound beagle.

This is a great leash. It is sturdy and the retractable feature is very smooth. It also has a locking feature to control how far away your dog can be from you . The length is good to give your dog a little extra room to roam but still keep them safe.

This is not my first Retractable Dog Leash."Chew proof" is wishful thinking. When I was distracted,my dog very quickly chewed through the flat cable,as he would any nonmetallic leash.The opening is not as effective as my past leash, in keeping theflat cable from binding. The lock/unlock mechanism is clumsy if you're wearing gloves.With this in mind, it is a better leash than many but not the best I've had.Next time I will find a better retractable leash at a box store and compare its price online.

Very sturdy build. However the lock requires you to push down and forward, which is fine, but then unlocking requires the opposite, which is not useful at all. It’s very hard to get it to consistently unlock on the first try. You need to pull it back with your thumb while not pushing down on it so that it can spring up and unlock. Not sure how that’s supposed to work one handed.When you have a teething 50 lb puppy racing around like a maniac and you lock it, say at 10ft so they don’t charge another dog, but then they rush at you, you need to be able to unlock it and coil it up fast so that you can keep them at a distance. I was not able to keep up with the puppy using this lock, so I got a leash that could.The coil spring is great, the leash is strong and durable, and the handle is built solidly. If you don’t care about the lock, I recommend this product.

I purchased this leash as a replacement for the one I left on the roof of the car after putting my dog in the car. My stupidity aside, it actually was and is a blessing in disguise. This leash has a ribbon-type lead that moves so smoothly that I can barely feel it as it extends and retracts. The handle on this leash is solid and even more important is the ergonomically designed grip that makes this a pleasure to hold. It really does fit beautifully in my hand. If I have any complaint at all is the locking mechanism and truthfully, this may be more about my somewhat short and arthritic fingers. I find the mechanism hard to reach and engage. When I get my fingers to the mechanism it moves smoothly and locks the lead instantly. Again, this is probably more about me than this leash. For the price, it's an excellent leash and I would buy it again after I leave this one on the roof and drive away.

I've owned and used many different types and brands of retractable leashes. My dogs are well trained on them and we're very proficient in using them. This is hands down the worst one I've ever used! The lock button is absolutely the worst design. Completely useless and not user friendly AT ALL. Most brands, you have the option to hold the button down to lock and when you let up, it releases. While also having either a separate button or position to hold the lock in place. Not this one. Any time you push the button down, it locks and it's not a simple unlock. I struggled each time to unlock it when I would out of habit push the button for a quick lock. My dogs were tangled in all the extra slack each time and curse words were flying. At one point, in all the chaos, the snap hook came undone and then my dog was loose! We looked like a damn three ring circus. I have never been more angry about a product! Thank goodness my dogs are well behaved and trained and two several potentially bad situations were avoided because of this stupid leash. I will gladly spend more money on a proper one next time. You've been warned.

Pick one of these 26ft emperor dog leash for my 65lbs pit bull who has zomies and injoys taking walk so far seems to work well and giving plenty of room to run around so far it retracts as it should would recommend

My first retractable lead was not so easy to use. But how did I know I've never had one before. Thanks to Amazon Prime sale early in July I got to try out several products. Thank you Amazon

The quality is nice, very sturdy, but the mechanism is not easy to master, and it blocks easily.

Used three times and the lead snapped. I was out with my 13kg small puppy and the lead snapped as he was wearing it, he’s a small dog and well under the weight limit. This should not have happened. Luckily we was in the park however if we was on a main road he would be dead . I have asked Amazon to look into this item for safety reasons. Please please do not buy!

Exactly as stated, built well, easy to use, love the retractable leash, and it’s super long! Great purchase! 1/2 the price of a similar product in the local pet stores.
