Scholastic Success with Writing, Grade 2 Illustrated Edition

Highly recommend as a review or initial school curriculum

Used this with my niece to prepare her for 2nd grade. Fun pages and scaffolded, standards-based practice.

This book was perfect for that student that needs a little extra help. Great for an extra practice sheet during the week or weekend; whatever it takes to help, this book is a sure win. Even for those young ones that ate ahead of the game!!

It is truly educational and informative. Easy to follow through for children who are having problems with writing compositions and just making simple sentences. It’s been helpful so far. Will update upon completion of book but in the meantime I’d definitely recommend.

I bought several of these books due to the pandemic. I had a feeling much of what my children needed to learn was either forgotten or not learned. What can we expect from crisis learning followed by a 'summer slide?' I bought the pandemic grade and the subsequent grade. My children get 1 page/day from this and several other books from this group. I highly recommend them. It definitely brushed their skills back up without excessive neediness from me to assist (but I still have to check the work).

This book has been great. It really follow the 2nd curriculum very well. It has been a great way for my son to get some writting in. This book has helped so much that i bought the other subject too. All are really great.

My 6 year old son has been having trouble with the correct way to write letters so I was looking for something to get him writing and practicing. Although this isn’t a writing book for alphabet practice it has lots of opportunity to write. It was a great review of statements and questions and it makes the child think and create sentences and questions on their own, not just copying. He really enjoyed this book. He enjoys the whole series and finished all the Grade 1 books and has asked for the rest of the Grade 2 series. Not only are they great practice he also really enjoys doing them so I will definitely be buying the rest of the Grade 2 series and then move on to the other grades.
