Scully Men's Rangewear Cotton Canvas Vest

I RECEIVED THIS VEST AWHILE BACK AND I AM HAPPY TO SAY THAT IT IS VERY NICELY DESIGNED AND LOOKS GREAT. THE MATERIAL IS A NICE COTTON / CANVAS BLEND THAT IS STILL LIGHT ENOUGH TO WEAR ALL YEAR LONG. THE SIZING SEEMED TO BE SPOT ON, NOT TOO BIG, NOT TOO SMALL..THE SHIPPING WAS A WEEK, SO I CAN LIVE WITH THAT TOO.. OVERALL, YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY IS WELL SPENT ON THIS..

I had been looking for a well-made canvas vest suitable for farm work. The canvas is of good quality and the seams are all double stitched. Four pockets for all the random things you tend to carry while working outdoors.

Sizing, color, and texture are the issues.Sizing, I normally wear a LG but ordered a XL just in case. It was quite roomy until I washed it. Once I washed it it shrunk down to where I needed it. It fits perfect now.Color. Wanted black, its more charcoal. The photo I posted I actually edited to show my GF, then realized I could post a photo here...Did not take a second unfiltered. It is dark gray canvas, not black.Canvas is going to wear good, but feels like a Carhartt jacket. Quite stiff. Better after washing though.Over all I would definitely buy again and recommend.

This is a very well made vest and I believe it will last a long time.Although just a tad smaller than expected, I layer, and may have to leave of an undershirt. But that just means it is a good fit for "one less shirt underneath". I normally may wear a t shirt, henley, and flannel under it and overall it is not too tight. It really is more like the picture. If the man has an undershirt underneath the henley he is wearing, the vest is perfect.Nice to have an extra layer of warmth under the coat, yet when the coat is off, the vest adds a touch of class for indoor wear. Looks good with casual shirt, henley, and/or flannel, so the vest is very versatile.

I did't try it on before sending it back. In the process of unwrapping and unbuttoning the vest I found that the buttons were big and very tight to undo. This maybe a good thing, however at my age I'm not wanting to be "fiddling" with buttons. It is a nice looking vest.

This is a quality vest. It looks and fits good, it has a nice liner, and the outer material is so rugged that I had a very hard time to stick a lapel tack through it.

I was nervous about ordering this because of some reviewer concerns about size. I found XL was exactly what I expected. This vest is comfortable to wear and I'm not slim but I don't have a huge stomach. If you do then order a size larger. The material is like canvas. The front and back are made of the same cloth. A little bit of common sense is necessary to figure out the back buckle unless you're old like me and remember this type of clasp. I'm very happy with this vest. I should be able to wear it year round.

Bought this for western costuming. Used it for Halloween, but also got it for use with cowboy action shooting. It's an authentic style, and the very thick cotton is great. I'm 6'1", weigh about 185', and the size large was perfect for me. I intend to get more in other colors. Very happy with this vest.

I have 4 Scully vests and love them all. Two leather and two like this. The fit is perfect, craftsmanship is obvious. Pride in your product is evident. You won’t regret purchasing a Scully vest
